The two were interrupted by the sounds of footsteps, Looking up to see Shiloh walking towards them holding three sandwiches in hand
"I got these from the bakery" She stated tossing it towards both megumi and nobara who muttered a small thanks
"I'm sorry I couldn't have been more help, if I had gotten there in time, he wouldn't have had to switch with sukana" Shiloh stated as she tied her hair up
"You were trapped in a domain clash, don't beat yourself up over it too much" Nobara spoke, the three teens still not maintaining eyes contact
Just then the three students heard footsteps and looked up to see a pretty girl who wore a high ponytail standing in front of them.
"What's this? You're looking more glum than usual, Megumi" she said with her hands on her hips
"Zenin," Megumi said
"Shiloh?!" Maki questioned making the younger Nanami look up
"Maki?" She said as she stood up, giving her upperclassman a hug "It's nice to see you" She smiled "I've missed you!" Maki grinned
"How's kinji and kirara?" Shiloh asked being met with a shrug by the zenin "dunno"
"What do you want zenin?" Megumi tried to say in the most respectful way possible
"I already told you! Don't call me by my last name!" the girl yelled as someone whispered her name making her turn around
"Maki! Maki!" a panda said "Hey what's panda doing here" Shiloh questioned
"I'm talking here!" maki snapped
"You actually don't know why they're down??" the panda whispered as a boy with light hair stood by him
"What do you mean?" she said plainly
"Someone really did die yesterday! One of the first year boys!" The panda said "Bonito flakes" The other boy said leaving Maki with a mortified expression
"You should've told me sooner! Now I look like some heartless ice demon!" she cried "That's exactly how you came off." Shiloh agreed "Tuna mayo," the other boy said
"You're supposed to try and make me feel better!" maki wailed as Megumi and Nobara stared at their upperclassmen and Shiloh
"Tuna! Tuna!" Inumaki cheered as he greeted Shiloh
"It's been a while Inumaki!" Shiloh said as she high-fived her upperclassman, panda lifting her up
"we missed you! You barely called us!" Panda frowned "I was busy" Shiloh frowned "Yeah with the Kyoto students" Maki scoffed "It's not my fault nanami spends most of his time there" Shiloh shrugged
"Who are those guys? And how does nanami know them?" nobara questioned turning to Megumi
"She met them last year during the night parade of a hundred demons"
"Our second-year upperclassmen," Megumi answered
"Zenin is the best of all the students at wielding cursed tools." Megumi said pointing to the girl with glasses
"That's the cursed speech user Inumaki he can only speak in rice ball ingredients," Megumi said talking about the boy with light hair
"And panda"
"There's one more, okkotsu, who's the only one I genuinely respect" Megumi mumbled before getting up "But he's overseas right now"
"You're not adding more about the panda named panda?" Nobara questioned as she got up to greet her classmates
"The truth is we'd like for you all to participate in the Kyoto sister school exchange event." The panda said with a meek smile
"Kyoto sister school exchange event?" Nobara repeated, "what's that?" The brunette questioned
"It's a get-together with the other tech school in Kyoto" Shiloh answered
"Isn't that event mainly second and third years?" Shiloh questioned
"Yeah and those stupid third-years are suspended right now so you need to participate" Maki said
"What do you do at this event? Smash bros? I won't lose if it's the wii version. I'll meteor smash so you can't come back" Nobara said confidently
"Then let's make a 3-man team" panda said "The exchange event has the principals of the Tokyo and Kyoto schools, each proposing a form of competition to be held for an entire day over the course of two days. Though that's just how it is on paper. Every year the first day is team battles and the second day is individual battles"
"Salmon," Inumaki said
"Individual and team battles? We fight?! Against other jujutsu sorcerers?!"" nobara said "Yeah, it's a jujutsu battle where anything but killing goes" Maki smiled
"We'll train you up well so you won't get killed" panda said punching the air
"Do you have time for that? We're short on jujutsu sorcerers" Megumi spoke up
"That's a good question. For now, we are, the glum emotions people harbour from late winter through spring cause an outbreak of curses in the early summer so thats our busy season" panda explained
"Sometimes we're busy all year round but things should be settling down soon." maki said
"Youre in right?You just had a partner die on you, after all," Maki said
"We're in"
"But if I decide this training and exchange event is pointless, I'm quitting instantly" Naobara yawned as Shiloh and Megumi nodded
"Well people this cocky are all the more worthwhile to train" panda said with his arms crossed
"Bonito flakes"
