Megumi woke up in a daze, it was atleast midday and his body was killing him despite shoko healing his wounds, he glanced to his left to see nobara stil unconscious, muttering something in her sleep the feeling of someone's hands on his catching his attention as he turned to see Shiloh
She was asleep, it was safe to assume she'd spent the whole night in the hospital room with them, Megumi took a moment to remember everything that happened last night, not only yujis death but Shiloh having to carry both of the boys down all the way back to the gate and contact ijichi
"Shiloh.." megumi muttered as he took in the girls expression even as she slept, her brows were furrowed and she wore a frown, yet her grip on Megumis hand never loosened
Megumi decided to wait for her to get up, opting to let her rest as he picked up his phone to watch something, but the only thing going through his mind was itadoris dead body
"Megumi?" Shiloh mumbled, slowly sitting up "Are you feeling okay?" She asked letting out a small yawn
"I should be asking you that, you were the one who stayed up all night" Megumi stated "I'm fine, how are you feeling after yesterday?" She muttered Megumi expression falling
"I heard from your report you attempted to summon mahoraga" Shiloh said "you know that's basically death?"
"To be honest, in the moment death didn't feel like such a bad option if it stopped sukana, or atleast made him believe he would need to regrow itadoris heart" Megumi stated, Shilohs eyes widening
"It was an almost refreshing feeling, I was fine with that sacrifice"
"Megumi!" Shiloh said involuntarily catching the noirette of guard

"doesn't mean much when you go and die yourself, is it your first time having a partner die?" the girl asked her other classmate who wore the same glum expression as her

"You seem to be taking it well considering," Nobara muttered
"Kugisaki, how are you taking it?" Megumi asked turning to the girl, her sad expression was already telling enough
