Personality: The public only knows the mask she wears: arrogant, confident and deadly. They see it because it's what Teagan knows they want to see from a Career. On the inside however, she's vulnerable and scared. The only times she reveals who she actually is to those she trusts in private, where she can be completely sure the public doesn't have eyes. She's understanding and tries to be kind and friendly. The only piece of her true self the public knows is the sound of her laugh and chocolate-box smile, which is still often faked
Biggest Fear: Her secrets getting out
Backstory: Teagan was born into war and turmoil. The first memory she has is hiding from drones, holding her baby brother closely. She never knew her parents but knew herself, and that was enough for young Teagan. She one day found small knives and taught herself how to use them, eventually learning perfectly deadly aim and technique. She's been keeping secrets from everyone since day one, and therefore no one but herself knows how she survived the war as a toddler looking after a baby, or the things she did to do it. She's a naturally good liar, so keeping them is no problem. However, during the war, she lost Apollo to tuberculosis, leading her to believe she's a failure as a sibling. After the war, she feels into a state of constant mental breakdowns thanks to her PTSD, leading her to commit more crimes and keep more secrets. She enrolled herself into a school as soon as she could, learning how to read and write at nine. She soon began to write poetry as a coping mechanism for her breakdowns, soon becoming very good at it. She began training as a Career and was encouraged to volunteer for the 10th Hunger Games when she was fully trained at seventeen, as it's expected of Careers. She did so unwillingly. She was brought to the Capitol, but was given Coriolanus Snow as her mentor at the last minute before the Games, as Lucy Gray had mysteriously disappeared before they began. She's now about to enter the arena and attempt to win the Games, but all she really wants to do is give up on trying to be the perfect tribute. There are only two ways of doing that: by winning and somehow disappearing from public view, or dying a bloody death for the entertainment of the Capitol
