It was late afternoon when Misha woke and she started to scroll on her phone and saw a lot of messages from her friends.
They were talking about going out tonight in one of the famous bars in their city. She started to read all the conversations one by one, from the top.
"Tara, mag-bar mamayang gabi." Callie blurted out on their gc
"Gagi, pass muna ako. Walang magbabantay kay Ethan." said Eula, the first in the group to build her own family
"Sige. Tapos na rin naman akong mag-process ng documents ko eh. Tara." said Freya
"Pass muna ako. I have to review for my exams and wala rin ako sa mood lumabas." Misha responded
She has been in this world for 23 years now but she has never set foot on a club or on a bar, ever. It was one of her bucket list though but she just don't see any reason for her to go and well, she is claustrophobic and is afraid of the crowd. She is afraid that she will just pass out in front of everyone.
They did drinking sessions outside but never in a bar. She never liked going out unless she is with the "gangs". They have been friends for 10 years now since they started to become church choir members.
A few moments later, Joelle barged into her room
"Salamat naman at gising ka na, ate." she said and sat on her bed
"Oh ano na naman?" Misha asked her
Joelle has been living with her at her apartment since she graduated college last year. She is one of the youngest in their group. Now 21, she already has her degree in Nursing and is now working 2 jobs to save up for her medical studies. She is also currently reviewing for the Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination.
"Sama ka na ate." she told her
"Ayoko nga. Wala akong gana lumabas." Misha responded
"Ate, sige na please. Sama ka na. Promise, maganda doon." she said trying to convince Misha to go with them
"Gusto ko nalang magpahinga, Jo." she told her
"Ate, everyday kaya nakakapagpahinga ka. Mag-party ka naman kahit ngayon lang." she told Misha
"Gagi to. Diyan ka na nga, magre-review pa ako." Misha responded
"Okay, miss BLEPP and CHRA 2021 Top 1." Joelle responded citing the achievement that Misha had during the board exams
Well, that's Karina Mishaila Cordero or Misha as a short form for Mishaila. 23 years old and currently working as a Customer Service Guest Specialist in one of the biggest BPO Companies in the country. She is with the company for 3 years now. She graduated Bachelor of Science in Psychology in a private university 3 years ago. Ranked first during the Board Licensure Examination for Psychometricians and the Certified Human Resource Associate Exam 2 years ago. What else? She is also working 2 jobs. She a CSGS by night, a guidance counselor and teacher by day in the same university where she finished college and a graduate studies student during weekends. She is currently in her first year of her graduate studies taking up Masters in Clinical Psychology. She is single and she is not straight. Yes, you heard it right! Our Karina Mishaila right here is pansexual so it means she is attracted to everyone regardless of gender and sexual orientation.
"Pagod ako, okay?" Misha told Joelle
"Bakit ba naman kasi you have to work 2 jobs pa while studying, ate? Hindi ba pwedeng i-give up mo ang pagiging guidance counselor and teacher mo? 2 years ka na diyan ah and pareho lang din naman ang sahod mo diyan at sa call center." she asked her
"Ikaw? Bakit dalawa yung trabaho mo? At full time ka pa both." Misha returned the question to Joelle
"Nag-iipon ako para sa medical school saka 2nd year college na rin si Johann. Kailangan kong tulungan sina mama sa gastusin." she responded
"Exactly. 5 years old palang si Talia, nasa kinder pa. Kailangan ko rin mag-ipon para sa kanya. Isa pa, kailangan ko rin yun para maka-keep up sa gastos natin dito sa apartment." Misha responded to which Joelle did not respond because she knows that Misha has a point
"Nasa lower middle class tayo kaya kailangan nating kumayod para mabigyan ng mas magaan na buhay ang pamilya natin." Misha told her
"Tama, ate. Anyways, wala ka bang pasok ngayon sa school?" Joelle asked
"Wala. Hindi magmi-meet ang mga prof namin para raw makapag-review kami for the exams next week." Misha responded
"Speaking of next week, when's the exam?" Joelle asked again
"Saturday." she casually responded
"Saturday! Eh di ba, pageant mo yun? Wala kang tulog?" she asked in a high-pitched voice
"Nagpaalam na ako kay TL na magli-leave ako sa Friday para makatulog at makapag-review pa." Misha answered
Anyways, she is currently in a work-from-home setup and she had set-up a mini office on her loft which she also uses as a study area.

"Practice tayo ng pasarela mo bukas ha? Kailangan mong iuwi ang korona." Joelle told Misha reminding her of her pasarela training
Aside from being a nurse in a clinic, Joelle is also a modeling trainer. Training both aspiring models and beauty queens. She was crowned Ms. Nursing 2020, Ms. SAMHS (School of Allied Medical Health Sciences) 2021, and Miss Ambassadress 2022 of the university where she graduated.
"Aba'y oo naman. Dapat lang ako mag-uuwi ng korona. Siguraduhin mo na yung hairstyle mo sakin sa Saturday ay sakto sa pagsuot ng korona ha? Para madali nila akong masuotan." Misha told her and laughed
She went down to the kitchen bringing her ipad with her so she can watch a movie while cooking dinner.
"Ate, ako na magluluto. Ano ba lulutuin?" she asked
"Naku, huwag na baka kung ano pa mangyari sa lulutuin mo at hindi ako makakain ng ayos." Misha jokingly told her
"Grabe ka naman. Akala mo sa akin hindi marunong magluto." she responded and when Kara was about to pick the ingredients, the doorbell of our apartment rang
"Ako na po." Joelle said and went to the door
"Helloooo!" a very energetic Callie holding a big box of pizza appeared on the door
With her is Freya holding a box of what she assumed was chicken wings and bottles of alcoholic drinks.
"Anong ginagawa niyo dito?" Misha blurted out upon their entrance
"Since ayaw mo naman sumama sa night out, dadalhin namin ang night out sa'yo." Freya responded
Misha cancelled her plan on cooking since they already brough a lot of foods. When evening came, they set up the living room, turned the lights off, turned on the music as well as the led lights and they started to bring the party to her apartment.
