He had tremendous faith on his wife. So he did not protest!!! Nor he wanted to do that!! Which father wanted to donate his own son to other!! But a small smile appeared in his face. He was so proud of his Medha!!! She was a deserving sister-in-law of Karna!!!
Medha put her hand on her heart. To assure him!! To tell him to trust her!! He batted his eyelashes!! To show her that he was not against her decision!! These husband and wife duo were made for each other!! What a loving couple they were!!! They had donated their first born together!! To save the life of Supriya!! Hats off to them!!
She took the baby in her arms. Then she had drove the horse to Supriya's house. When she reached the house it was dark outside. Only one faintest light came from one of her bedroom window. Medha kissed the forehead of the infant in love and whispered softly "kshama karna, Putra!! Tum apne Mata ko khashma karna. Mata hoke bhi ham apke Kaki rehna chahte hain. Kya Karun!! Supriya ki pran bhi hamare liye priyo hain!! (I am sorry, my son. Forgive your mother. Even being your mother I have to remain as your aunt whole life!! But what to do?!! I want to save the young life of Supriya too. She is also dear to me!!)"
Then she had put the baby at the front door and hurriedly turned back. To hid her tears!! She was crying too!! As a mother it was her Supreme sacrifice for which history would remember her forever!! After that she had faded away from the scene clutching her heart!!
The baby was bewildered. He was in his mother's arms and now she was gone. The baby threw his tiny limbs in frustration. Then he cried aloud. None had ran to him. He increased his own volume of cry. In the faint hope that his mother would come to take him in her arms!!
Supriya was sleeping. On her straw bed. She was truly exhausted. She felt weak!! For two days!! She missed her best friend Medha too!! She loved to talk to her!! But for last three months she did not went out of her home!! To hid her pregnancy to all!! Beside her bedside Chitrasen was playing with his tiny limbs. Happily. That boy did not know how unfortunate he was till birth!! She looked at his face and had smiled a little.
All of a sudden she heard a loud cry of a baby!!! Outside her door!! She got up with difficulty!! She was still weak after her painful delivery!! Then she went to the main door by clutching the walls and opened it. She saw the most amazing thing!!! A baby was now lying in her doorfront!! It was crying constantly!!! She forgot herself and ran to him. She took it in her own arms and clutched it tightly. In her chest. A miracle happened!! The baby sensed warmth and stopped crying!!!
She looked fanatically here and there and yelled aloud "Koi hain?!! Kiska Santan hain yeah?!! (Whose baby it is?!! Is there someone?!!)"
None answered. The atmosphere was too dark and gloomy. None were seen near to her!!
She cried again "Koi toh uttar do!! Is shishu ko mata ki absyakta hain!! (Kindly answer someone!! This baby is in need of it's mother!!)"
None answered her again. She was exhausted and took the baby inside. With her.
She did not look at the far end of the eastern horizon. Under a big oak tree a girl was smiling happily!! She knew her Supriya could not leave her baby alone!! Her Supriya was a goddess!!
Supriya brought the baby inside. She took both the babies in her arms. They giggled merrily. By seeing each other. She smiled at them too. Happy occasions were so rare in her life!!
