Chapter 10 Weird Feeling

Confused, I looked at him and asked, "wait what? When did you get here?" He responded loudly, "That's not important. What's important is that you accept my offer to go out with me!" Hanni interrupted, "Hey man ? How many times i keep telling you,stop chasing her. She already has someone in her heart. Your loss and now go find another person and if she didn't want to, don't force her." With serious tone. I amazed at my friend action.

His eyes widened in shock as he heard Hanni's words and his expression turned neutral. I felt a twinge of guilt at the thought of hurting him, but since I'm already married, there was no reason for me to feel bad. "Is this true, Danielle?" he asked, and I nodded while avoiding eye contact. Deep down, there's no one had a place in my heart.

He went quiet and I looked at him. His face was expressionless, which only made me feel worse for him. I said in a low tone, "Hey, there are other people in the world besides me. This isn't just about you."

He let out a frustrated sigh and said, "For the millionth time, you're not the first person to turn me down. It's just not my time yet. Thank you for being honest with me, though." He turned to leave and went back to his seat.

Hanni watched him with a confused expression on her face, "what's wrong with him." She said and Minji cut in, "the hell that was so weird."

I shook my head as I watched him walk away and then turned my attention back to the professor, who was just entering the classroom. It was time for the lecture to begin, and I needed to clear my mind of the events of a few minutes ago. I took a deep breath and prepared myself to focus on whatever the professor had in store for us.

After a long day at university, I was in the car on my way to my bakery shop. I informed Hanni and Minji that I wanted to go to the shop since I hadn't been there in four days.

They understood and agreed to their own plans while I went to bakery shop. They offered to have me over for a sleepover at Minji's house, but I declined because I had an assignment that I needed to finish.

They still had the sleepover, but I decided to stay home and get my work done before the weekend began.I resolved to finish the assignment today so that I could take some much-needed rest on Saturday.

It took me only 10 minutes to arrive at the bakery shop. I pulled up outside and parked my car near the entrance. As I went inside, my favorite employee greeted me with a warm smile. "Ms. Marsh! Welcome back. We missed you. Where have you been for the past four days?" I greeted her back with a smile. "Aww, I've been really busy with work lately. This week has been one of the busiest of my life." She seemed to understand and I ordered an Americano coffee to help me focus. As I walked towards a table, I saw Haerin sitting there.

As I walked towards a table, I saw Haerin sitting there with a unfamiliar woman. She's pretty..I took a table far away from them and silently took a peek at them. They were talking with each other while smiling, and it was a opposite on how she treated me. I felt my heart and feelings starting to feel weird but I didn't know how to describe them.

I felt my body tensing as I saw Haerin. I couldn't help but stare in disbelief. It looked like she was having a good time with someone else. Who was she? Why was she with Haerin? It felt like my entire world was falling apart.

I couldn't focus on anything else. I felt like I was going to burst with emotions. I wanted to scream, to yell, to let it all out. But instead, I just sat there, frozen, watching them.

All I knew was that I hated seeing how they interact with each other. "What's this feeling.. who's that..did u have secret affair behind me- no of course not. Why would i think this way. Nevermind i need to focus on my assignment instead of them." Thought to myself.

My drink arrived and I opened my laptop to start working on the assignment while trying to ignore Haerin. However, I couldn't help but take a peek at them again. This time, I saw something that made me even more annoyed. The other woman suddenly took Haerin's hand, and I found myself staring at them with a scowling expression. After a few minutes, the other woman stood up and she waved as a goodbye at Haerin. I couldn't understand why Haerin was being so friendly with her when she treated me so differently.

"Now..what's Haerin going to do?" I asked myself. But then, I saw her expression turn cold once again when the other girl walk away. It wasn't weird since it is Haerin. I couldn't describe..how quickly she could change her expression. Such a silly.

It was like she was acting two different people at once. I couldn't understand how she could appear so friendly with one person, but then treat me so differently.

It was as if she was trying to avoid me on purpose. I didn't like it. It made me feel like I was the one in the wrong, when I didn't even know what I had done.It was a frustrating sensation, and I felt my heart racing with frustration and confusion.

I noticed that she had taken out her phone and was typing something. Suddenly, I got a notification on my own phone and quickly hide myself, hoping that she wouldn't see that im silently peeking at her for the whole time.

I felt frustrated as I realized that Haerin had seen me. I covered my face in embarrassment, unable to meet her gaze. But then, I felt someone walk beside me and sit down in front of me. I pulled my hand away from my face and slowly opened my eyes to see... Haerin!? SMIRKING WHILE LOOK AT MY FACE.. I couldn't believe it. I quickly looked away, feeling my face heat up.

I wished I could disappear into the ground. It was humiliating and embarrassing to be caught like this. I didn't know what to do. But at the same time i feel.. feel my heart racing fast. It felt like it was thudding in my chest. I tried to focus on my breathing, taking a few more deep breaths before I slowly dared to look up at Haerin again.

"Stop...leave me alone Haerin.." i said while avoiding eye contact. "Why should I when you're keep looking at me with that woman earlier." She said in teasing tone.

"Im not- i just.. nevermind, yes i did. Now go away."

Haerin raised her eyebrows and gave me her suspicious reaction. "Hmm..ok then. By the way, there's something i need to tell you" she said and her expression change to normal one,yk.

"I'm sorry for my..behavior last night. You must have felt uncomfortable...I was just feeling both half-sober and half-drunk. I'll make sure it's not going to happen again." In slow tone she said it.

"N-no it's fine" I said with small awkward laugh. Wh- i almost forgot about last night. "Since you were drunk...then there's no problem."

"Thank you for understanding. There's one thing, though. I'll be away on a work trip for one week, starting in two days."
