I looked around the arcade room, playing video games with my friends, for a thirteen year old girl such as myself, could have been good in all kinds of arcade game, especially in Rhyme, I won again "Hey...That's not fair" my friend pouted looking at me "Sorry, I'm the one that practice more than you" I said playfully, taking small shots of vodka and Champaign, my cheeks get warmer and redder, resting my head on my arms, I close my eyes and let all the noise surrounds me, but something louder touches my ear drum "Waaaaaa~..." I hear crying noises, why? I get up and try to look for the source of the sound. I looked over the crowds and find a small male child; he has beautiful long blue hair, looks so soft. I walked over to his direction and tap his shoulders lightly not to scare him "Hey...um...are you lost?" I asked really gently "Umm..." he nodded wiping his tears away "Where's your parents?" I asked "I can't find them" he said still crying "Um...okay...it's late at night so...come with me and I'll help you find your parents" I said giving him the cutest smile I could ever give "He smiled back and nods "Oh...my name is _________ by the way, what's yours" I bend over and see his red face "Aoba...Seragaki" he said really shy "Well then...Aoba, lets be friends" I said giving him another cheerful smile "Umm" he nods again with another thin smile on his face. I hold his hand and we exit the arcade room, I went into the residence for help of any lost child in the data, they replied with a no, so I looked around somewhere the nearest place around the arcade where couples could have gone to...getting late and darker, Aoba started crying again "Waaaa!!! *Hic* mommy and daddy is gone *Hic*" he said closing his eyes "*sigh* well, we'll search for them tomorrow again okay, for now, stay at my place, you're wounded too, how did I not see that? You have bruises on your cheeks, probably because I took too much shots and my vision became unclear, well...I'll treat them for you" I said picking him up through a piggyback. He cries all the way home but once we arrived, he stopped crying. Not sure why, I unlocked the door and enter my house, I rushed into my room and sat Aoba down on my bed, I took out the medicine and rubbed it on his face, putting a small bandage just so the heat of the medicine won't get into his eyes "There...better?" I asked "Mmm..." he nodded. Leaving him to rest on the bed, I print out some posters of a lost child with his picture I've taken when I finish treating his bruises. I print a stack of them, I think this is too much, I thought. Leaving them on the living room, I went back to my room and look after Aoba "Aoba...what was the last thing you see before you got separated from your parents?" I asked letting him sit on my laps "Ummm...I just saw my mom slapping me and my dad doing nothing, I don't remember what happened next, I think I blacked out" he said almost in tears "Oh...geez, doesn't that counts as child abuse? Do you still want to go back with them after what they've done to you?" I asked "Yes...I want to...I love them so much" he said crying as I comforted him. I can tell how much he loves his parents, how could they've not seen this poor kid's love towards his parents? I asked to myself. Now that I think about it, I bet Aoba haven't eat nor take a shower. So I took out a chicken and mushroom soup to my room and let him eat. He doesn't really finish it, but kids on his age must drink milk to grow right? I asked and went down to get some warm milk with honey "Here Aoba...I brought you some warm milk" I said, he immediately turn away "Why? Don't you like milk?" I asked "No! I hate milk" he said pouting "Well...you still have to drink them even if you don't like it...or not you will never grow up" I said holding it out to him "Ummm...I'll try" he replied "Good...here then" I hand him the glass of milk and he gulped it slowly, he took a small breath before finishing the milk "You're a good boy Aoba...here as a reward I'll give you some chocolate chip cookies" I said cheering him up and hand him the bowl of cookies, he greedily devoured them all and left with the empty bowl on the bed. I took it and put it down on the kitchen, Mayreen should be able to clean it by tomorrow. I went to sleep with Aoba next to me as I hugged him to keep him warm. The next morning comes, I looked around and Aoba was gone, I heard a really loud and high pitch squeak and some footsteps around the living room, curious, I went down and see Aoba chasing after Mayreen my maid for her glasses "No! Please young master...don't remove them" she squeaked and run around "Just let me see your face" he said running after her. Sneaking after them, I catch Aoba and hugged him "Gotcha...hehe, no more running around the house okay or you'll hurt yourself. You alright there Mayreen?" I asked "Good milady" she said and fell on her back, I carried her to her room and let her body rest "Now Aoba...get ready, we're going to look for your parents right?" I said smiling over him, but then he suddenly started crying "Waaa...I don't want to leave, I'm scared of mommy and daddy!" he cried, I carried him and let him cry on my shoulder as I pat his back gently "Aww...okay, okay...but are you sure you want to stay here forever?" I asked making sure "Yes! I love you mommy" hearing him say that pierced my chest as it softened and I lean my head to his forehead "Okay, from now on, you'll be my son and I'll be your beloved mother okay?" I said and he started cheering up. I was out working in my office like usual, I now have to go home 3 hours earlier than usual due to my condition of taking care of Aoba, he usually went to a mini park for kids to play, he usually get bullied because of his long hair, but he met a kid named Koujaku appeared in his life and they both grew up as close friends, more like childhood friends, but not long after, Koujaku left the island due to his family problems, after Aoba grew up into a 23 year old child, Aoba appears back in this island and they're both never to be alone anymore. "Aoba! Come down its dinner time" I called out "Okay" he replied and come rushing down to the dining table, here your favorite beef potato stew" I said handing out the hot bowl as I shove some of them into Aoba's bowl "Thanks for the meal" we both said as he compliment my food like always. We both live in a small house, everything is simple yet our family is as big as the world, I was so happy to meet this child. Thank you
