She woke up to the thick bars of a large cell. 3 people standing on the outside, two grown men and a girl who looked no older than 19. Confused and scared she just stared. Before the girl spoke in a wicked tone. "welcome! I see you've finally woken up." Still incredibly frightened she yelled "WHO ARE YOU!?- WHERE AM I- WHERE IS MY DAUGHTER!? WHY AM I HERE!?" The girl looked confused and annoyed after she said that. "You never mentioned she had a child." She turned to the two old men behind her and one of them spoke up, "she did have a little girl with her, miss." The girl shrugged "you two are useful for nothing! Go and make me some tea before I throw you into one of the cells and leave you to die to." The men nodded, walking away. The girl turned to her. "Now, your here for a bit of... experimentation. You will now be known as experiment 5678." She said, grinning and walking away, as she was walking she yelled one last thing "oh and be a dear and at least TRY to get along with your cellmate!" She chuckled. Slamming the door behind her. "Cellmate.?" 5678 thought to herself. Before gasping at the sight of a man peacefully fast asleep behind her, he was probably also trapped here. She stared for a few seconds before he started to wake up. He didn't seem surprised by her presence, more confused. "You new here to.?" He said to her. 5678 nodded. "Yeah I guess.." he smiled at her, "what's your number? So I know what to call you-" he said, still smiling, she smiled back at him "I'm 5678, you?" "Oh well, I do have a number but also an experiment name- everyone here has one based off the results of their experiments."
"Oh okay then! What's your experiment name?"
"The living doll.."
Her smile faded as he said that. So did his "but you can just call me by my number.. 4389." He said awkwardly, "why are you called the living doll.?" She asked, slight fear in her voice. "Well, it's the result of how I turned out. I can take off and re-arrange my limbs like a doll. I also apparently have the personality of a children's doll. So the living doll." He looked ashamed of what he was. Probably a monster to many. But she saw the potential for a friend. Someone lovable, "you seem nice, 4389. I won't judge you based off a dumb name.." 5678 chuckled. He smiled a bright smile back at her, "we should probably get some rest tho.." he pointed out. "Yeah, goodnight 4389." She agreed, laying down and closing her eyes he laid down next to her. "Goodnight 5678.."  he closed his eyes as well.. and they both drifted off to sleep. 4389 found himself awake before anyone in the hall. Frowning at the young woman next to her. "You poor soul, don't deserve to be here.." he whispered to himself. He shrugged. "God knows what they'll do to you..". He added. Trying to fall asleep, it didn't work. He just couldn't. He had only met 5678 that day but still he was worried about her. He tried not to be. But he cared. He had this worry in his stomach that made him think they might even kill her. He was lucky to still be alive after everything they had done to him. He didn't want the same thing to happen to her. He gasped when he heard a door open and instantly prepared to be asleep. Someone banged on the cage "I know your awake 4389." Someone Whos face he couldn't make out because of the shadows and the fact he had to keep his eyes were partly closed so he could keep up his act. They banged again. Loosing patience. "Get up 4389." 4389 still kept his act. They banged once again, yelling now "4389 GET UP NOW." 4389 shut his eyes tight. Terrified. He was expecting the person to bang again but nothing. He opened his eyes in horror to see the person before him.
"I knew it."
