As I woke up, my clothes reeking of alcohol with a girl completely naked laying next to me, I felt like I wanted to die with an excruciating headache. As I gather myself to go to the bathroom, I try to think about what happened last night, but it's all a blur. As I look in the mirror my eyes widen with shock, there are hickies all over my neck while my face is covered in lipstick stains, my white shirt stained in what I think is red wine from my friend's wedding last night. As I make my way back to the room my memory starts to return little by little, all I remember is that there was partying and a lot of it. As I enter the room, I see the girl with whom I woke up standing at the corner of the bed, wearing a bath robe that she clearly put on in a rush almost as if she was trying sneak out without me noticing. But I'm no one nightstand and seeing as I can't remember what happened, I wasn't going to let her leave before answering some questions." Who are you and what happened last night?" I ask confused "You don't remember? Considering how drunk you were I wouldn't ever" she says in a playful voice." Was I really that drunk?" I ask even though I know I can't behave or control myself when I have had a few shots. "Yeah and thinking about last night it seems to have done you good" she says while making her way to me. "What exactly happened did we......" "Oh yeah and it was amazing" she says while slowly rubbing her hand across my chest. I quickly pushed her away as I felt disgusted in what I had done. "What's wrong was I not good enough, you seemed to have enjoyed it" she says. "What's your name?" I ask just trying to get her to leave at this point. "Amelia" she says "Well Amelia do you mind leaving? I kinda want to figure things out" I ask trying to get her out the door. "Well then I guess it's true what they say about men, they use you then throw you out like trash" she says in an angered voice as she storms out the room. "Nice meeting you" I shout out the door to at least not sound like a complete asshole.
I sit on the edge of the bed thinking of what I did last night and of how guilty I feel. As I look to the left, I see a used condom on the ground by the leg of the bed." Well, at least we were safe" I tell myself trying to make the situation a bit lighter while also thinking of the poor housekeeping that is going to have to clean that up later. Suddenly one of my best friends, Darragh came in my room all excited and with a tie around his head." Yoohhh Simon wasn't that the chick you had last night?" He asks "Yeah and I'm not exactly proud of it" "Why not man? She is smoking and by the looks of things you lot had an amazing time" "Yeah if only I could only remember half of it" I say. Darragh suddenly points to the leg of the bed "Is that...." "Yeah, Darragh it's a condom... a used condom" I say to him "Ohhhh so you finally got some yeah?" he asks, "Yeah let's not talk about that" I reply to Darragh." Well let's get you cleaned up I'll get you something good to wear, you take a shower" "What about the hangover? "I ask in desperation. "Don't worry I got my grandmothers famous cure"" Thanks man" "Now get in the shower, you reek!"
As I got out the shower, I look in the mirror and I appreciate how clean I feel. When Darragh returns and hands me a clean pair of clothes from my suitcase. I get dressed and he says that breakfast is at 9am "Well do I at least look presentable?" I ask him "Yeah you look fine. Oh, do you mind sending me those photos we took last night?" "Sure "I say as I start to look around the room for my phone "Have you seen it" I ask as I start to search through the drawers "Seen what?" "My phone" "Why would I have seen YOUR phone" "Well I was only asking" I say to him as he starts to help me look for it. "Maybe that chick from this morning took it." "Now why would she take my phone" I ask him " I don't know some girls crazy like that" "Well if she did it would be bad" "Why?" he asks in a curious voice "Because all my photos of Jessica are on that thing and you know how I feel about those" I say in a serious voice "Simon, Come on man it's almost a year now I think it's time you let that go" " Well that's easy for you to say you're not the one who killed her" "Come on man you and me both know that car crash wasn't your fault, I mean the truck driver even pleaded guilty so don't be so harsh on yourself" He says trying to console me. "Oh! Found it!" he shouts from across the room. "Really?" "Yeah!" "Oh, thank god"
