A rude awakening

A tall non-human-human black hole was lying by a large star when he realized nothing was fun in space anymore. He didn't have anyone to talk to. Maybe that planet would. I mean they do have something called "School"  Black Hole thought, he silently flew over to the large green and blue planet and flew into the atmosphere.

"What's this.." Black Hole murmured to himself, just then someone and their strange creature ran past and Black Hole hid behind a short leafy thing. He flew up as the short leafy thing started ripping out of the ground. He let out a small squeak of surprise and floated looking around where he was. He spotted a large thing that looked nothing like Black Hole had ever seen. He flew towards it, big weird symbols littered a white rectangle. Black Hole lowered to just an inch above the ground. "weird thing.."

Suddenly a person ran out of the weird thing and others followed as a loud sound rang hurting his ' ears '. He covered them, flying higher so they didn't see him and hiding on top of the thing.

"Hey, what's that?" He heard someone say. Black Hole flew back. These things must not know how to fly... Black Hole hoped. A short person flew up, he seemed to not have any legs but instead a lightning bolt. "Oh! Uh hi?"

"Uh.." Black Hole flew up and fluffed out trying to seem bigger, That's how it worked in space, the bigger you are the scarier.

"Oh, did I startle you sorry. Name's Lightning." Lightning held his hand out.

"What.." Black Hole stared at the hand.

"Oh! Sorry, you don't have hands do ya-" Lightning seemed to stop talking when Black Hole revealed floating hands out of nowhere. "Oh"

"I.. can't touch you." Black Hole stammered still fluffed out, the star on his tail a bright purple meaning shock. 

"Oh?" Lightning tilted his head at the words. "What are you? Sorry if that sounded rude!" Lightning smiled, he seemed embarrassed.

"I'm uh. Vortex.  I guess" He added the ' I guess ' under his breath Vortex was a nickname he had, He didn't really like it but ' Black Hole ' isn't that normal of a name either. He didn't have a face so he couldn't smile. "One second.." Black Hole turned away and an illusion of a Face (minus the mouth) appeared on his face, fluff covered one eye and his face glowed white. He turned back to Lightning and closed his eyes to show a smile.

"Sure, I guess! Anyway here" Lightning grabbed a thick black piece of fabric out of an enclosed object. "This is a spare Jacket I had you could wear it" He smiled at Black Hole.

"Oh.. thank you." Black Hole was hesitant to grab it cause everything he touched he ' eats ' A jacket, eh? looks weird. Black Hole grabbed the Jacket and put it on. Somehow it didn't get sucked up.

"Come on!" Lightning floated over to the edge and flew down to the ground where another person was standing. They had short white hair and white animal ears. She looked up at Lightning and Black Hole slowly floated behind him. "Vortex, this is Pillow, Pillow, Vortex."

"Hmmm.." Pillow's eyes narrowed as if she was thinking about something. "Lasers." She suddenly said with a smug look on her face.

"Lasers?" Black Hole stared at her, suddenly feeling uncomfortable. "What's that..." Lightning looked at Black Hole and tilted his head.

"Lasers are things that can kill people!"Pillow said with a smile on her face.

"Oh." Black Hole smiled, and suddenly a rush of discomfort flooded through him. He didn't like to be near this. Pillow person. "OK."

"Oh, uh don't mind her she's all ' Let's kill that person! ' and all" Lightning explained, A slight smile showed on his face, he seemed embarrassed by the way Pillow was acting. "Sorry about her" Lightning chuckled.

"Oh, she's fine.." Black Hole looked around. "What is this place.." Black Hole kept his voice quiet so as to not draw attention to himself.

"Dream Academy! You should sign up here! I'll get ya in!" Lightning pulled out a glowing hand-held rectangle. "OK, type in your info."

"OK.. could I borrow those..?" Black Hole quietly asked pointing at Lightning's hands which had black fabric over them.

"My Gloves? Sure you can borrow them!" Lightning smiled at Black Hole handing him the gloves. He put them on and typed in what he thought was correct. "Oh uh. Do you not know how to spell?"

"I never went to ' school ' " Black Hole looked at the symbols, weirdly. "Never taught this.."

"Here, I'll teach ya! The others can help too." Lightning took the gloves and rectangle back from Black Hole and waved for him to follow. "Do ya live anywhere near here?"

"Uh.." Black Hole pointed up to the sky, and Lightning looked confused. "Space.."

"Well you look like a Black Hole, so that makes sense." Black Hole held his breath when Lightning said ' Black Hole ' He felt self-conscious of his name and species. "Well we all stay at  a hotel, you come!" Lightning flew and Pillow ran off in the direction of the ' apartment ' Black Hole flew to catch up wondering how life here would be.
