Adele's POV After Friday was the weekend, and next week began with no sign of Jasper or Edward, much to Bella's displeasure.

Monday I walked into school and tried not to cringe as Bella strutted ahead of me.

I slipped on my sunglasses and walked to class ignoring her throw a tantrum about the dress code that she was violating.
I glanced up and saw Alice and smiled and shyly wave earning an excited wave back earning a playful eye roll from Rosalie and a mischievous smirk from her dark haired brother.
Tuesday I was in my English class which I shared with both Bella and Rosalie. I once more cringed at Bella's taste in fashion before slouching in my seat.

"Today class we will be doing partner reports on Edgar Allan Poe's work. I will be partnering you up...." Mrs. Munchin stated before droning on partners ".....and finally we have Ms. Rosalie Hale and Ms. Adella Swan" I froze and shakily stood up before approaching Rosalie's desk.
I heard rumors about her being a bitchy ice queen and I was nervous about crossing her, but she looked up at me and says "Hi, I'm Rosalie Hale, but feel free to call me Rose" I timidly smiled at her and said "I'm Adele" before taking a seat beside her.
Wednesday Bella's temperament was souring as the days passed by.
She was hounding me for info since she knew that I was English partners with Rose. She, thankfully, didn't know about Alice. It was nice having something, or rather someone that was mine and that I didn't have to automatically share or give up to Bella.
Alice and I were quickly becoming best friends, but I feared my more than friendly crush on her. I knew that it wasn't normal or natural to have these feelings for the the same sex, but I subconsciously didn't care about what my maternal grandmother, mother, and sister always taught me.
If it was so sinful, then why did it feel so natural? It never felt like this when I went out with boys. Maybe..... maybe they were wrong.
Thursday I was in history class and Mr. Thompson announced "We're doing a project on historical figures around the world! This is a partner project! Everyone, partner up!"
Before anyone could blink a giant shadow passed over my desk and I looked up to see the towering form of Emmett Cullen as he mischievously smirked at me "So what will we be doing partner?" I gulped and meekly started suggesting "We could do a project on Marie Antoinette, Mary the 1st, or....or Ivan the Terrible?"
Emmett shrugs and plops down next to me "Ivan could be fun" I nodded and cracked open the history book as Emmett started talking about all sorts of random things, mostly embarrassing stories about Alice, and his upbeat and boisterous personality made me smile.
What can I say? I like happy go lucky people.
Friday Bella was officially driving me crazy.
Upon hearing about me being both project partners with Rosalie, Emmett, and Alice she was demanding that I talk to them about Edward making me retort "They only told me that you chased him away with your monstrous wardrobe."

After a long weekend of me avoiding Bella and talking with my new friends it was finally time to come back to school.
Low and behold Edward and Jasper showed up with the other Cullens and approached me "I wanted to apologize if our absence caused any problems between you and Bella" Edward said making me wave him off "Bella always has a problem with me. You didn't do anything wrong. I hope whatever out of town problems you had are sorted out now though?" Edward smiles and says "They are" "Thank you for being understanding" Jasper says before they depart.
I go to remove my bag and turn around only for Bella to get in my face and push me against my car door "I knew it! You've been telling Edward lies about me! What did you tell him?! Take it back!" Before I can respond a loud metallic screech cuts me off and Bella and I look up to see a van heading straight for us.
Everything happened so fast and next thing I know I'm on the ground with Alice hovering over me. She reaches over and touches the back of my head and pulls back to reveal blood. She looks at me panicked and the last thing I hear is her calling out "Adele!" Before I black out.
