"Thank you," Y/N smiled.
"Hey, no worries, I got your back," she grinned.
"Okay, guys, dry off and meet at the campfire pit in ten."
Chris shined his pearly teeth once again and Bridgette and Y/N watched in distaste as he made his way to the distant fire.
"Does he seriously think that's enough time to dry off?" Y/N grumbled, looking at the the water that continued to drip down her hair and clothes.

"This is Camp Wawanakwa, your home for the next eight weeks."
Y/N felt even more disheartened and rested her head on her hand. Not only had she been scammed out of a 5 star hotel, but she had to live in crusty old cabins.
"The campers sitting around you will be your cabin mates, your competition and maybe even your friends. You dig?"
A rather lanky, glasses-wearing male smiled at Duncan, who, in return, held up a rather threatening looking fist.
Y/N noted to stay as far away from him as possible.
"The camper who manages to stay on Total Drama Island the longest without getting voted off will win $100,000!"
At his words, Y/N perked up, showing more attention to the host than ever before.
"Somebody here wants it," Chris remarked, grinning amusingly at the look of the H/C girl's expression.
"Why do you think we auditioned for this dump-show?" Duncan rolled his eyes, his arms crossed over his chest.
"All right, cabin assignments!" He said excitedly, peering at them all as though he had given them a real good treat.
"Excuse me, Kyle," said a blonde girl, raising her hand politely. "Can I have a cabin with the lake view since I'm the prettiest?"
"Okay, you are," admitted Chris. "But that's not really how it works here. And it's Chris," he added, looking rather offended.
"I have to live with Sadie, or I'll die!" exclaimed one contestant dramatically.
"And I'll break out in hives," said whom Y/N assumed was Sadie. "It's true," she said to no one in particular.
"This cannot be happening," said the girl, who Y/N knew was named Gwen.
"I'm sure it's not that bad," Y/N said sheepishly, remembering the blonde beside her, whom she had grown rather fond of.
"Yeah, I'm sure we'll have a jolly good time,"the contestant with the ugly expression said sarcastically.
"Here's the deal. I'll give you your cabins but first, we're gonna split you into two teams. If I call your name out go stand over there. Gwen, Trent-" Y/N noticed Gwen's face lift up considerably as Trent walked towards her, "-Heather, Cody, Beth, Katie, Sadie, Owen, Leshawna, Justin, and Noah."
Y/N watched as they all stood in an awkward group, and she slowly learnt who was who.
"From this moment on, you are officially known as..." he paused, most definitely for dramatic effect, "the Screaming Gophers!"
"Yeah! I'm a Gopher!" wooped Owen.
"Rest of you, over here," instructed Chris, pointing on the opposite side.
"Y/N, Geoff, Bridgette, D.J, Tyler, Lindsay, Izzy, Courtney, Ezekiel, Duncan, Eva, and Harold. Move, move, move!" He persisted, and Y/N walked, huffing.
"You will be officially known as the Killer Bass!"
"Awesome," gasped Harold. "It's like... amazing."
Y/N peered around her teammates, and she smiled at Bridgette, who was standing next to her. Bridgette returned the smile.
