„Just move a bit closer to the left and tilt your head if you can."

Why does this chair have to be so goddamn uncomfortable?

„Lynn, tilt your neck a little bit more. One needs to see the chain clearly."

I try to tilt my head a bit more, but the weight of the chain is starting to kill me. Why couldn't Hyunjin have chosen a lighter chain instead of this metal one? His description from yesterday immediately irrupts in my head:" The weight of the chain represent the repercussions of capitalism. See? It's tied to a dollar bill. My professor is gone love it." Hyunjin has always strived for academic success and it's been the same since he started studying artificial power. Exceeding expectations constantly, surprising his fellow students with the most weird but fitting projects and living for it. His passion does inspire me sometimes. Seeing as I like to read and write fan fictions, I've started to talk him through my story lines in advance. He does give great advice and I have been really proud of my published fan fictions on ao3 ever since.

„Okay, I think I got it. Come look over here." Finally, yes. Thankfully, I loop the way-to-heavy chain from around my neck and lay it onto the chair. I walk over to Hyunjin who's currently looking at the fotos he just took and damn, he's smiling. I love to see him like that. Pretty sure I did a good job this time. This one is really great: look at your depressed facial expression." He hands me the camera. „Good thing I don't have to practise that haha". He looks at me instead of laughing at my joke. „What? That's my coping mechanism, u know it", I reply with a wink. „You know what ur doing, don't u?"

And there it is again. Him caring, at least that's what I think it is. Hyunjin has always been kind of a protector of mine, always looking out. I think it comes naturally with being the older brother of two. Felix, who's two years younger than him and one year younger than me, fits perfectly into the other role. If I would have made this joke in front of Felix, he would have probably said „Same", or at least something like that. He's more spontaneous and easy-going than Hyunjin. Maybe this all sounds a bit harsh, but I've known these two my whole life. Sometimes, the thought occurs to me that I know therm better than myself. We grew up in the same apartment complex in downtown New York, luckily being neighbors. My childhood saviors, as I like to call them. When my father wasn't around anymore and my mum had already left for work, they met up with me. Every time. Every fucking time. At one point, they even suggested an adoption to their parents. My younger self wittily retorted with: „As if I was gonna go on sale.".

„Do you want to pose some more?", Hyunjin stops my train of thought and looks at me excited with his camera in hand. „Yeah sure! But only without the chain.", I reply and step onto the small stage again. Seeing as this time I don't have posing orders to follow, I put my right hand on my right hip and smile into his Canon.

„You are really pretty, Lynn."

Click.

„I already know that, dumbass."

Click.

„Seriously, you're like a natural in front of the camera. I wish we could stay here forever hahah."

Only if he knew how much this sentence mens to me. These words of affection, feeding my year-long crush more and more.

Click.

„Should I change my pose again?" I do not want him to think of me as boring.

Click.

„No, stay and keep looking at me like that. Ur doing that thing with your eyes again. I love it."

Click.

And I think I love you. Always have and always will.
