I give Charteruese a kiss. "It's a wintertime tradition in my family to wear your skimpiest bathing suit and jump into a lake with at least one person watching the year you turn 17. What better person to watch than my boyfriend? So here I go." she takes off her clothes to reveal a VERY skimpy bikini and jumps in. She is immediately knocked out by the coldness. I can't believe that I'm going to do this. I take off my clothes except my underwear. I dive in and see her drifting towards the bottom. I grab her and swim up. But you know what grabs me? The giant squid. I'm waved around until I kick it. I notice it dragged us deeper. I want to pass out. I honestly don't want to die but I want this to end. But I don't. I don't for Fred. For Mom. For Bill. For Percy. For Ron. For my friends. For Charteruese. I get out and put on my clothes and bring her to Madam Pomfrey. I explain everything honestly. "I understand. Her mother did the same thing, except in front of the whole school."
