When you draw on you it appears on your soulmate too but you can wipe it off. If you are far away from your soulmate or haven't contacted them whether it be talking, writing on yourself to talk or seeing each other you will be sad it's just how it works.
When you touch your soulmate you feel a weird feeling like sparks or something and your wrist might glow in some cases!
