Ram was determined to get to know Priya better during the remaining days they had together. He couldn't shake the feeling that there was so much more to her than he had ever realized. Despite being his loyal secretary for seven years, Priya had always maintained a professional demeanor, which had kept her personal life largely hidden from him.
One sunny afternoon, Ram decided to invite Priya for a coffee break in his office. He had noticed that beneath her calm, composed exterior, there were hints of a sharp wit and intellect. He wanted to peel back the layers and understand the woman beyond the role of his secretary. Ram decided to take a different approach. Instead of bombarding Priya with questions, he decided to be a good listener.
As Priya entered his office, Ram flashed a charming smile and gestured to the chair opposite his desk. "Miss Sharma, let's take a break from work discussions today. I want to know more about you."
Priya quirked an eyebrow, her lips curving into a sly grin. "Sure, Mr. Kapoor. I'm intrigued by this sudden interest in me."
Ram leaned back in his chair, his charming narcissism in full display. "Well, I've come to realize that I'm surrounded by mere mortals at work, and I thought it's time to acquaint myself with someone exceptional."
Priya couldn't help but chuckle at his playful arrogance. "Oh, exceptional, am I?
I'm flattered."
Ram chuckled in return, leaning forward slightly. "Absolutely, Miss Sharma. You know, we've worked together for a long time, yet I feel like I don't really know you beyond the office."
Ram offered her a warm smile " So Priya, let's have a chat, shall we?"
Priya nodded appreciatively. "I'm glad to have a break from work-related matters."
As they sat across from each other, Ram watched Priya with genuine interest. "So, Priya," he began, "Now, tell me, what's your grand plan after serving as my loyal secretary?"
Priya leaned forward too, her eyes filled with determination and a hint of mischief. "Well, Mr. Kapoor, my dream is to pursue my masters in Business Management. I want to broaden my horizons, lead a team, and take on new challenges."
Ram nodded thoughtfully, his charming confidence showing a touch of genuine interest. "Business, huh? Ambitious. I like that. So, what's your secret plan for world domination after that?"
Priya laughed, her eyes sparkling. "World domination might be a bit too ambitious, Mr. Kapoor. But I do hope to make a positive impact in the business world."
Their conversation continued, learning Priya's aspirations and goals. Ram learned about her passion for business
management, her desire to lead and make an impact in the corporate world. He couldn't help but be genuinely impressed by Priya's drive and intelligence.

Later that evening, as Ram drove Priya back to her apartment, he had genuinely enjoyed their conversation, and he couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more to discover about her. The atmosphere in the car was filled with a sense of warmth and a comfortable silence, and then Ram broke it. "Priya, I'll start looking for a new secretary tomorrow. You mentioned you would too."
Priya nodded, her voice soft. "Yes, Mr.
Kapoor, I'll begin the search for my replacement tomorrow."
Ram glanced at Priya, his expression suddenly serious. "Priya, I want you to know that you've been an exceptional secretary, and finding someone to replace you won't be easy." He sighs, "But you're so adamant on leaving me." he said whispering.
Priya met his gaze, her eyes holding a mixture of gratitude and sadness. "Thank you, Mr. Kapoor. It's been an honor working for you."
Ram was about to respond when he suddenly blurted out, "But I only want you."
The words hung in the air, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still. Ram's heart raced as he realized what he had just said.
Priya's eyes widened in astonishment, and she stammered, "What did you just say, Mr. Kapoor?"
Ram quickly composed himself, his charming smile still in place despite his embarrassment. "I meant, I only want you to find the best replacement, Priya. You've set a high standard."
Priya's lips curved into a gentle smile. "I'Il do my best to find someone who can fill my shoes, Mr. Kapoor. I appreciate your trust." she said with the sweetest smile.
After Priya got out of the car and thanked him, she started walking towards her house. Just as she was about to disappear from view, Ram called out,
"Miss Sharma."
Priya turned and asked him, "Yes, Mr. Kapoor?"
Ram cleared his throat, his tone more serious. "Please be ready by 8 a.m.
tomorrow. I'll pick you up; we have to go out.

As Ram Kapoor drove back to his luxurious home, he couldn't help but be consumed by his thoughts of Priya. Her departure was looming over him like an impending storm, and he felt a growing sense of unease. He parked his car in the driveway and sat in silence for a moment, lost in his thoughts.
Priya's decision to leave him had stirred something within him. He realized that her departure would leave a void in his life that would be hard to fill. Ram had grown accustomed to Priya's presence, and her efficiency was unmatched. The idea of having a stranger as his secretary was unsettling.
Inside his car, he muttered to himself,
"How can I possibly reject all those new secretaries just to make Priya stay? It's not that simple."
But deep down, he knew it was exactly what he wanted to do. The thought of Priya working elsewhere, no longer a part of his daily life, was almost unbearable.
He had never been one to feel so attached to anyone, and it surprised him.
Ram leaned back in his car seat, gazing at the night sky through the windshield. He thought about all the moments he had shared with Priya over the years. Her unwavering support, her perfectionism, and her witty banter had become an integral part of his life.
"I can't let her go," Ram murmured, as if trying to convince himself.
He knew he had to find a way to make Priya stay, not just for his sake, but because he genuinely valued her presence. The prospect of facing a new day without her seemed lonely and uninspiring.
With determination in his eyes, Ram stepped out of the car and headed into his lavish home. He needed a plan, a way to persuade Priya that staying by his side was the right choice. And he was determined to do whatever it took to make it happen.
