(This is my second story ever, I hope you enjoy it!)

Love... What IS love? Is it just something you earn? Something you desire? Well... for some... that isn't the case whatsoever.

My name is Angie, I'm a Leafeon that lives alone in the deep and quiet forests of the Vast continent.

I like my peaceful life, it's completely void of any conflict whatsoever, I never wanted to deal with problems... some say that's the wrong thing to do, but... I consider myself to be my own judge.

Angie awoke from their slumber, rising from a tall and cozy burrow underneath a tree, deep in the Vast continent's forest.

"Ahh... What a nice day..." Angie said as she stretched like a cat, watching the rays of the sun slowly pierce through the thick leaves of the trees. Angie then walked over to the cool, running waters of the lake, splashing her face with some fresh water.

Angie dried her face off, ready to head into town. "I'll just go for a smoothie..." Angie said to herself softly as she walked through the town. The Traveller's hub was a town that citizens and visitors could rest, grab some refreshments, and just overall relax.

Angie walked over to a market, sitting by a small booth. Behind the counter of the booth was a Rotom hard at work, making smoothies and cleaning cups. "Hello, Zap..." Angie said calmly, trying her best to grab the Rotom's attention.

Zap turned around immediately upon hearing Angie's voice. "Ah if it isn't my [#1 customer!] what can [you ask me of] on this [Warm, summer day!]" The Rotom asked with a glitchy voice, Angie always wondered why Zap stuttered so much...

"Just an Oran smoothie, please..." Angie requested with a gentle tone. "[Right away!] valued customer!" Zap replied, blending some Oran berries up, pouring the smoothie into a cup. "12 [Pokemon-currency] please!" Zap said with a wide smile, he always seemed so optimistic...

Angie handed over the Poke coins, grabbing her smoothie in the process. "Have a [FANTASTIC] day, my [Furry friend!]" Zap said as Angie left, the Rotom soon going back to blending more berries and cleaning more glasses for other customers to arrive.

Angie sat on a bench, sipping away at her Oran smoothie. It was the perfect blend of sour and sweet with a hint of bitterness. Then... Angie stopped sipping, due to something catching her attention.

It was a shiny Sylveon and shiny Umbreon walking side by side, their tails locked together. "How sweet..." Angie thought to herself, she was also sure that the shiny Umbreon was named "Osiris" or something like that...

Throughout Angie's life, she had never found anyone to lock tails with. She didn't really seem to care, she always told herself she'd find a life parnter sooner than she thought...

Angie didn't really realize she was staring all that much, the shiny Umbreon glaring at her, causing Angie to look away and blush out of embarrassment. Angie was half-way done with her smoothie, still sitting comfortably on the bench, watching other mons go on with their day.

Something caused Angie to double-take her looking around...

"HAH! LOOK WHO DOESN'T HAVE A BADGE NOW!" A Mimikyu taunted to an explorer, holding their badge high up in their air with their extended shadow-like claws. "H-Hey! Give it back..!" The explorer said in distress, it seemed to me a Minncino.

"You're not getting in unless you put up a fight..." A Gengar said with a intimidating voice. Angie just watched this sudden encounter unfold, thinking to herself... "...Wow... I hope the explorer gets help..."

Of course, Angie was quite cowardly, too cowardly to stand up to some outlaws (ghost ones specifically), so she just backed out of the traveller's hub, Trying her hardest not to get noticed.

Angie made it into the forest, signing out of relief. "Home sweet home..." Angie said, walking to her burrow underneath a tree.

Then... Angie decided to think for a moment...

Is this really what I wanted to do all my life?
I should go do something...
Something entertaining or exciting...

"I suppose I could maybe go somewhere... finally do something other than cower in my burrow..." Angie said to herself confidently, finally taking a step up from cowering in the bushes of the forest.

"I should go to the park today..! Yeah..! I'll go to the park..!" Angie said excitedly, wagging her tail with anticipation.

Angie grabbed her smoothie, heading out of the forest and into the park. She took a breath of fresh air, closing her eyes...

"Hey!"A voice called out from somewhere in the park. Angie opened her eyes to see who the person was, ready to finally interact with another mon.

(There's the first chapter! I honestly think this'll be better than my other book. Go check out "Ignorance is bliss" btw, I need all the support I can get! Keep your eyes peeled for chapter 2 of this!)
