"That's not the craziest it'll get?" Alex asks Taylor.

"Umm.. no." Taylor says truthfully.

As much as I wish she'd lie, Alex had to know the truth.

"I'm right here and I'll always make sure nothing happens to you or to our baby." I assure her as I grab her hands. "I'm right here."

"I love you." Alex whispers.

"I love you."

"And I love cats."

"Way to ruin a moment Tay."

"Hey I have no one with me, give me this." Taylor says.

"Fine just this once."

The whole drive over to the hotel my phone wouldn't stop ringing, I kind of just wanted to ignore the world for a moment.

But I couldn't.

So I pulled my phone out and saw the messages.

Laura: Interviews set. Tree will confirm with Taylor, but it's set. Call me when you get the chance. Also make sure to prepare yourself for any stupid questions.

Me: Thanks Laura. I'll talk to Taylor about it once we get home. Oh I don't know if Taylor has been able to get in contact with you and Tree but we want to talk to you both.

Laura: Sounds good. And she hasn't but thank you for letting me know.

One down. Two to go.

Unknown: Answer me. You know it's me. Answer me and I'll help you if you help me. Trust me. I'd like to clean up the mess I started.

The unknown number was throwing me off, I didn't need help for anything.

Did I?

Unknown: If you don't have my number saved, fair. But let me help you, it's my mess. I did it. Also, you don't think I've heard? You don't know what you're getting yourself into. Or who.

I had an idea of who it was. I typed and erased and typed again but ultimately didn't answer.

Unknown: 2014 AMAs. You. Me. Taylor. Home. Cookies.

That last message told me enough to figure out who it was. Which made it even more difficult to not answer.

HG: Can we talk again? I need to talk to you. Also, congratulations 🤍

Me: Maybe when it all settles down a little. Maybe then. I can't let her find out I'm still talking to you after the last chaos. And, thank you. I wish you were there for those special moments. You were important in my life. 💚 Our life.

HG: 🩷

"Interviews are set." I say as I put my phone away. "So next month, we have interviews."

"Fun." Taylor says. "I get to tell everyone how evil you are."

"Am I going?" Alex asks.
