When he reached the library he settled at a corner seat and sighed as the faint smell of old pages and polished wood filled his nostrils. Unfortunately Hiroshi, who was usually lost in his own thoughts, was now focused on a piece of paper on the table in front of him.

A classmate of his had commissioned him to write a poem for them,a love poem to be more specific. Hiroshi sighed before turning to a blank page in his book, as he twirled his pen in thought he decided to just ask his two best friends for some ideas.

The three must kept tears
12:15pm

Poem guy:
AHHHHHHHHHHH
HHHHHHHHHHHH
HHHHHHHHHHHH

Vertically struggling:
What’s wrong

I'm sane:
Go away im eating

Vertically Struggling:
Shut up you-

Poem guy:

Can i talk now?

I'm sane:
How did you
You know what i don’t care
Yes, talk
Now.

Poem guy:
N e wayssss
I need to write a love poem but i’m stuck
Help me

Vertically struggling;
Romantic?

I'm sane:
No chessy

Vertically struggling:
Ignoring that…
How about something classic.
Like ‘your eyes, like the stars light up my darkest nights’?

I'm sane:
Go unexpected like
'Your love is like pizza chessy and impossible to resist'

Vertically struggling:
...

Poemguy:
At this point i’ll take anything so keep ‘em comin

Vertically struggling:
Ohh, what about...
'When I'm with you time stands
still like a clock without it batteries'

I'm sane:
'Your love is the key that unlocks the door to my heart'

Vertically struggling:
Aw that's actually kinda cute

I'm sane:
But i misplaced the key

Vertically struggling:
And u ruined it 🤦🏻

Im sane:
Always babe 😘

Poem guy:
Ok firstly go somewhere else with that lovely dovey shit 🧍🏻
Secondly thank you for your lovely ideas, feel free to send more
But i have a slight idea now, so next time we all meet up i’ll buy you guys some food

Vertically struggling:
Deal

I'm sane:
As long as I get fries 🍟

Vertically struggling:
You should starve

After school Hiroshi decided to wait in the library until the volleyball team practice was almost finished. "Around 20 minutes until it ends, guess I can leave now. I'll take my time walking to the gym" he said as he looked at his watch and stood up.

A yawn slipped past his lips as he stretched his hand up, then tucking away his notebook and pen. The library's quiet embrace enveloping him. He had spent his afternoon scribbling some verses, as well as fixing up the love poem from earlier.

The setting sun casted long shadows across the school ground as he made his way towards the gym. The closer he got he heard the distant echos of volleyballs being spiked.

As he approached the entrance of the gym, he hesitated. His glaze started to linger on the gym. "It's bigger that I expected" he said to no one in particular. With a deep breath Hiroshi finally pushed open the gym's door.
