The following is a genre that is generally named "nanofiction." Nanofiction usually involve 55-word stories (no more, no less) with a plot twist at the end that makes the reader laugh, cry, be scared, all of the above, etc.

Jared sat in front of his best friend, Paul, who handed him tissues.
"I can't believe we broke up! I thought he would always be by my side!"
Paul turned to look at his sniveling friend.
"It will be okay," he sighed.
"But I miss him," Jared hiccuped, "I mean, he was my Siamese twin!"
