SUMMARY
Anti-romantic Zhong Chenle can play any instrument and craft any song at the snap of his fingers. Yet even someone as musically gifted as he is has a weakness and his happens to be lyric writing, especially lyrics about romance. In order to make up for a bad grade in his songwriting class, he is tasked with writing a love song from scratch and perform it at the end of the semester. Unfortunately, he has no idea how to write a song about something he doesn't believe in.
Hopeless romantic Han Aein has a soul as beautiful as her writing; all her thinkpieces are masterpieces and she could turn the most mundane ideas into a magical, imaginative universe. As a creative writing major in her final year, her last student project is a big one. She has to write a sociolinguistics dissertation about romance and it's compulsory that she includes her own thoughts and experiences. Unfortunately, despite her name that means "lover", she has never actually experienced being one or having one.
While both are stressed over how to complete their respective assignments in order to graduate, their paths cross and they realize that they have similar problems that the other could help with. As they embark on a "trial run" romantic relationship for the sake of getting their work done, they also begin to get more than what they bargained for. Fortunately, they become more than just the other's muse.

NOTES
I'm back with a fresh story! This time with a different lead, different trope but hoping to serve you the same amount of feels.
Chenle is very underrated yet at the same time so, SO precious to me. There is a scarcity of good Chenle stories out there—almost a scarcity of Chenle stories as a whole—so I hope to do his tag some justice. I also want to explore a mixture of different fun tropes so this is something new from me.
