On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began.
Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. He got seven of them.
Alexander Mars was not one of them
But Reginald Hargreeves was not the only one with a fascination with the peculiar phenomenon. Scientists and governments around the world raised suspicion at him, eventually, they followed in his footsteps. The same level of secrecy and urgency accompanied their tests.
It boiled down to a race to see who understood the problem first.
They never did manage to find out the reason behind the unexpected pregnancies.
