Derek hummed scooting down to press his nose and lips into Stiles's neck. The man stirred slightly and only wrapped his arms around Derek and held the werewolf's head to his chest. Derek smiled again and nuzzled slightly before settling and dozing off to sleep. Both men staying put through out the night, neither getting up or moving out of position with the other safely in his arms. Morning came quicker than anticipated, sun light shining in through the cold colored curtains that cover the window. Derek inhaled as the light warmed his bare and exposed back. Stiles though bowed his head into Derek's and hummed as he combed his fingers through the werewolf's raven black hair.

Derek could tell from his heart beat, stiles was awake. He kept still and avoided showing that he'd woken, same as stiles had when he woke up. The younger had called it quits, he'd ended their little affair with nothing but a few words. And yet, he scratches his fingers over the top of Derek's scalp and trails them back to his nape. One arm wrapped over Derek's shoulder and lazily held the man as his free hands fingers softly swiped back and forth in a tickling manner. The younger leaned his head back and closed his eyes, taking in the moment, the feeling of Derek's large, warm arms wrapped completely around his torso, his forehead against Stiles's chest and hand lazy laying behind stiles as he comfortably snuggled the boy.

The human had only cut it off because he figured it out. Why he'd chosen Derek, why the wolf was his first thought, why he calmed stiles. He'd understood that yesterday, when Derek hugged and reassured him, he understood that when Derek cleaned his wounds in felt like more. He understood why it hurt when Derek said it was his job, rather than he wanted to. Stiles finally got why he loved Derek's touch so much, and calm looks, his rare smile, or why he hated when Peter mentioned it, trying to get stiles away from Derek. The human got it, and it scared him, he'd fallen for Derek like he thought he would, except he didn't catch himself like he hoped.

It already happened, long before this house was rebuilt. His old crush, his write off and hope for Lydia, his never looking at anyone else like they were sexy. Cause damn stiles could admit Derek was sexy, hot, kind, sweet, hurt, a hero, trustworthy. Stiles saw Derek not as werewolf, not like he had before. The human sighed and gave one last squeeze to the fake sleeping Derek, who gave a hidden smile and wished he hugged back before the man slipped from his arms and stood up. Clearing his throat and coughing quickly, this time Derek "woke up" turning to stiles in an instant and sitting up to rushingly crawl to Stiles's side of the bed. Where the human doubled over one hand covering his mouth and other holding his throat.

"Stiles, stiles.." Derek started softly. "You choked yourself in your sleep last night, just breath." The assurance snapped stiles back, letting his loved one rub a hand over his back and gently sooth his breathing to normal.

Stiles opened his mouth to speak, a rough scratching taking over instead. "Der-r." Stiles cleared his throat looking up at Derek with scared eyes.

"Your throats just raw, time and water will help." The alpha smiles at stiles who nodded as he leaned up straight and let his fingers stay on his neck. Tapping pointer to ring and then backwards and again. Derek smiled timing his words with Stiles's fingers.

"Three, two, one. One, two, three." Derek repeated again, nodding his head with the words as he and Stiles locked eyes. The human nodded thankfully and grabbed Derek's wrist. The man smiled at stiles and raised his hand to the younger's throat.

"You'll be okay." He answered, delicately running his fingers over the red and purple brown marks.

"S-schoo-.. school.." stiles scratched out. Derek caught the humans eyes again.

"Right, tomorrow is Monday, you guys start again. Um... maybe you can study online."

Stiles dropped his head to the side, pinching his brow and pulling his lips together in a annoyed line. "Fo-orr, two, m-monthss?.."

"What else can you do?" Stiles bowed his head at Derek question. The werewolf was right, he couldn't do much. Stiles snapped grabbing his phone from charging on the nightstand.

"D-dad. Call me... out..." Derek took the phone after stiles unlocked it, the wolf finding the sheriffs number and clicking the call button. His mind ran over the explanation he had to give, and of course. That stiles would need to finish school at the house instead of on campus. Derek was positive the sheriff was gonna be pissed, at him, at stiles, at anything he could be with this situation.
