He was yellow,
I was red,
Together
We made orange
Until you decided
That orange,
Just wasn't for you
—––
"Woah! Paris is beautiful!" The red-nette said excitedly, an uncommon occurrence for her. As she was most of the time angry, or neutral due to her anger issues.
"Yes, yes I know. I used to live here remember?" The blonde male responded, seemingly annoyed, yet his tone was slightly warm.
With a small tick mark on her forehead she turned her head at him. With a forced smile she answered. "No need to be a dick about it smartass, this is the first time I go out of the states. Let me have my moment asshole." Her angrily forced smile sent the message across, he shuddered slightly at her angered expression. She was a truly terrifying woman and more so when she mixed English and French.
"Okay okay, I'm sorry babe." At the nickname her angered face became a neutrally calm expression, a soft blush on her cheeks. "Whatever..." She grumbled in English, looking back out the window her ear tips slightly tinted pink.
He smirked before looking out the opposite window. His smirk then fell into a emotionless expression when he noticed the red-nette had fallen asleep.
"Young master, why do you insist on keeping that girl close? You know that you don't truly feel anything for her anymore." The old driver asked, looking through the rearview mirror. His concerned black eyes stared at the male's straight figure that stared out the window.
"That's none of your concern John." The boy responded, his piercing gaze made the old man shudder. He focused his vision back into the road and decided to never ask again.
The blond teen glanced at the girl with red locks, before reaching his hand towards her. He interlocked some of her silky smooth red locks with his fingers, then proceeded to lean towards it. He slightly smelled the red locks, and he once more leaned back like nothing ever happened. But now a troubled emotion covered his features.
Maybe John had a point.
Why did he keep her close to him?
He had stopped loving her long ago.
Was it guilt? No, he never felt that.
A sense of duty? He never had one.
Pity? Maybe? Probably not, but it was a possibility.
Was it because of how happy she looked around him?
Or maybe it was the fact that he knew she would be devastated if she discovered the truth?
Or was it that deep down inside his heart he actually still has small lingering feelings for her? No, that was impossible.
Above all, he thought, maybe it is just his own selfishness? Yes, that was probably the answer.
He hated thinking that she might find someone who will actually love her.
Who would actually be faithful.
Yeah...he only kept her close due to his own selfish cowardice of seeing her happy.
I'm yellow,
It often represents sunshine,
happiness, and warmth.
Yet, this color
It's universally known
As the sign for caution
This is because yellow
Can represent, anything
From cowardice and deceit to
Betrayal and faithlessness.
You're red,
It often represents anger,
Hatred, aggression, and war.
Yet, this color it's often the
Most associated with love.
Red can represent anything
From action and strength, to
Energy and passion.
Red is the color of
Heightened emotion,
Courage, and power.
It's invigorating, intimidating,
And yet it's...never boring.
Together we made orange,
A mix of red and yellow.
A color that combines the
Passion of the former
And also the
Positivity of the latter.
Yet, this warm color
Can also mean danger.
It can represent anything from
Superficial and impatient, to
Untrustworthiness and deceitfulness.
And yet, you wanted us.
You wanted to create this color.
You wanted to try.
You set aside your anger.
You embraced the hidden
Meaning of your color.
Love.
On the other hand,
I decived you.
I made you believe
On the superficial meaning
Of yellow.
Warmth. Happiness.
I blinded you
Of my hidden meaning.
Cowardice. Deceit.
Betrayal. Faithlessness.
But, it's okay.
I don't regret it, orange
Was never your color anyway.
