Ares Pov:
I woke up at 5am.
2 hours before my shift.
I got up and made myself some coffee and avocado toast. I ate my toast outside as I watch the sunrise. I stray cat that lived near my villa came over to me, rubbing up against for some attention.
I pet him and then I walked back inside my small villa to change my clothes to go workout. Once I had changed my clothes is was around 5:10am.
I headed out of my villa, not bothering to finish my coffee.
I went to the gym and work out my back.
Then I remembered the girl from yesterday.
She was very short, with dirty blonde hair, green eyes, and incredibly clumsy.
I remembered how she bumped into me when she slid of her chair.
I remembered how beautiful she was when she looked up at me.
5:55am.
I finished my work and pushed the thoughts of the girl out of my mind for a shower.
I showered cold.
It was already hot outside and I was in need of one.
6:15am
I get out of the shower and put on my all black button up shirt and my black pants.
I did my hair to the best of my ability and cleaned my kitchen from breakfast.
After that, I grabbed my phone and keys and locked my villa up.
I walked around looking down at the beach on my way to the restaurant.
Tomorrow was my day off so I was thinking about heading to the beach.
The water is always pretty cold so no one really swims a lot.
Even though it's scorching hot outside.
6:30am
I made it to the restaurant and opened the door.
Once I entered I didn't see Angelina, the owner.
However, I did see her son.
Alexander.
He was the quiet type so we never really talked.
Just smiled and said few words. But I was all right with that because I didn't want to make conversation this early in the morning.
That's all I do for a job anyway.
Is make conversation.
I walked into the back room signing myself in and grabbing my name tag.
I pinned it to my shirt before exiting the room.
"Are we open yet?" I asked Alexander
He nodded his head
"Just opened about 20 mins ago" He then said.
I nodded my head and waited for somebody to come in.
The restaurant was a small one but we still have regulars, generally not this early though.
I opened my phone looking at my calendar to plan out the next week and see what I needed to do.
Then an elderly couple entered my he restaurant.
I looked up at them before heading over and taking their orders.
They came in for some breakfast.
I told the cook in the back what they order and told them it would be right out.
it was around 7:30am now and business was slow.
Yesterday when I got here and ran into that girl.
It was packed.
That girl.
Dirty blonde hair, green eyes,
and a hell of a lot shorter than me.
More people started to enter than restaurant.
They started asking me "if the girl would be back?"
What girl?
I told them I didn't know what they were talking about and they said the girl who sang yesterday.
I told her I didn't know somebody had sang the day before.
She dropped the topic.
10:30am
The question about "the girl" didn't stop.
Is "the girl" coming back today?
when will "the girl" get here?
I was serving and waiting people when I heard the little doorbell ringing again. Someone had opened the door.
I looked up to see who it was when my eyes meet with a
dirty blonde,
green eyed,
And a hell of a lot shorter than me, Girl.
"Oh there she is!" The woman I was serving said pointing to the girl.
We held each other's gaze for about two seconds before I turned around and went back to serving people.
She wore a white sundress, with a blue swimsuit underneath. It was visible through her dress.
She also wore light blue heeled sandals.
She sat on a barstool in front of Alexander.
Who was pouring a mock-tail for her.
"I don't drink." I heard her say.
I walked around the counter past Alexander and checked the coffee I had brewing.
I leaned against the wall and looked at the girl.
Alexander walked into the back room and she started staring back.
"What?" she says sipping her mock-tail.
"Hm?" I say snapping back to reality.
She laughed.
"What's your name?" she then asked.
"Ares," I said look towards the coffee pot again.
"Ares? like the god?" She asked.
"Yeah," I said looking back to her.
"That's pretty," She said smiling.
"What's your name?" I said in return.
"Inez," She said taking a drink of her mock-tail.
The coffee pot dinged confirming that it was finished. I grabbed the pot looking back to Inez.
"Well, I have to get back to work." I said walking past her and into the swarm of people.
She watched me for a moment before sliding out of her chair and walking towards the stage.
She walked onto it and started cracking jokes with the band.
I tried my best to pay attention to what I was doing but when she grabbed the microphone, everyone cheered.
I watched her as she smiled, and talked to the band. The band started playing a song by ABBA.

"Last night, I was taking a walk along the river
And I saw him together with a young girl
And the look that he gave her made me shiver
'Cause he always used to look at me that way
Then I thought maybe I should walk right up to her and say
"Ah-ha-ha, it's a game he likes to play"
She sang proudly with a huge smile.
Everyone in the restaurant was smiling or laughing.
I leaned against the counter taking a break the watch the show she was putting on.
She stepped down from the stage walking around the restaurant singing to people when she stopped in front of me.

"Sometimes when I'm lonely, I sit and think about him
And it hurts to remember all the good times."
She sang as she caressed my cheek, Before turning back to the crowd.
"When I thought I could never live without him
And I wonder, does it have to be the same
Every time? When I see him, will it bring back all the pain?"
She sang turning back to me and ruffling my hair.
"Ah-ha-ha, how can I forget that name?"
She sang as she walked back to the stage, sitting on the edge of it while she finished the song.
Everyone cheered for her and she playfully bowed while laughing.
I now understood why everyone wanted to see her sing, Her singing was beautiful.
"Do you guys want me to sing one more?" She said into the microphone.
Everyone cheered again and she laughed.
She climbed onto the stage and talked to the band for a moment.
"Ok, everyone." She said sighing softly
"This one is gonna be a little slower, so feel free to relax and enjoy." She said with a little smile, before glancing at me.
I flashed her a smile before she began singing.

"I've seen your eyes , tender like mine
Only a week since we started
It seems to me, for every time
I'm getting more open-hearted~"

She sang with her eyes closed.

"I was an impossible case
No-one ever could reach me
But I think I can see in your face
There's a lot you can teach me
So I wanna know"

She sang looking towards a Elderly couple.

"What's the name of the game?
Does it mean anything to you?
What's the name of the game?
Can you feel it the way I do?
Tell me please, 'cause I have to know
I'm a bashful child, beginning to grow"

she sang looking over at me.
I smiled and watched her every move.
The way she danced.
Her facial expressions when looking at different people.
Her smile.
Her.
Before I knew it the song was over and she was hugging an elderly woman. I continued leaning on the counter still observing Inez.
She seemed so open-minded and carefree.
Like she didn't have anything to lose.
