Chapter 12

Three days till competition

We were rehearsing the group, when Abby then stops us and helps Mackenzie, she then says

"Don't cross those finger. Oh, those hands. Who's your manicurist? She should be out of work. Girls, three more days. We need to get this choreography fixed. Got it? Fire and Ice, three more days. Go back to the top, let's do it." We then go over it again, when we finished she starts talking again

"Girls, remember, your dad's are coming to the competition. They complain about all the money you spend, all the hours you spend here at the studio, all the outfits, all the rhinestones. Your dad's going to sit-in that audience and watch you. You want them to say, oh my God, look at my kid up there, it's all worth it . It's all worth it to see her up on that stage. Look what she's accomplished, look how good she is."

One more day till competition

Nia was rehearsing her solo while the rest of us were in tap class. When they were done rehearsing we go and rehearse the group dance again. An hour later we take a break and I go on my phone to see a text from Jake

My mom told me that Kendall is now at the Candy Apples because Abby put her back on probation

Wait what, she's there?

Yeah, my mom also told me that I can't talk to you

I then sighed and put my phone away, I then go to acro class.

The day of the competition

When we got to the competition we see that Abby brought her dog and her dog loves me because my mom babysits her sometimes and I would always play with her.

"Come on girls, let's go" Abby says

"BE CAREFUL GIRLS, IT'S SLICK OUT HERE" Mom says, when we got inside Abby was greeted by people at a table and she signs us in, when we got to the dressing room I got ready for the group dance while Maddie and Chloe get ready for their duet and Nia getting ready for her solo. After Maddie and Chloe's duet they go back to the dressing room to get ready for the group dance. When they came back we see Nia do her solo

After her solo it was time for Kendall's I secretly give her a thumbs up because she's my best friend's sister and I still want her to know I believe in her

We go back to the dressing room so Nia could get ready for the group dance, me and Chloe try cheering her up about the events happening. After we finished getting ready mom throws the flowers and Chloe and Paige fight over it, I then see Mackenzie crying and I try calming her down but Paige walks over to hug her but Mackenzie smacks her, mom then walks over and tells me to walk away from her and then she tells everyone else. We then go backstage and we say good luck to each other and then they call us and we do the dance

When we were finished their was a couple more group dances and then the Candy Apples do theirs

After a couple more dances it was time for the awards

"In our junior small groups, we have a first place overall award  and that is going to number 288 , "Head Over Heels!" We get up excited and grabbed the award, it was time for the solos

"For your first place overall junior soloist, number 21, "I Think I Like You." Kendall then grabs the award. When it was over we go back to the dressing and Nia starts crying and I try cheering her up, Holly and her husband then comes in and talks to her. Abby then walks in and says something about Nia crying. Holly, Nia, and Nia's dad leaves. Cathy and Abby start fighting when it was over, after the fighting we get ready to go home.
