Destroyer of the City

Start from the beginning

DJ zipped into Sun Stone, who instinctively blocked him and hit him with a counter-punch.

"OUGH! WHATS THAT FOR!?"
"Don't. Touch-"

Stone was almost crushed under the foot of the giant, just barely managing to brace its heel with her flagpole long enough for her to roll away and dodge.

"...me," she sighed, tired. "I don't need your help. Whenever you try to help me without thinking it always turns out wrong, Talon. God, people have DIED because of this and you still haven't learned?"
"Talon? I'm not Talon-"

Sun Stone waved his confusion away aggressively, tiredly staring at the ground as her shallow breaths clouded the visor of her helmet. She shook her head and took off.

Confused and a bit hurt, DJ nodded. He understood what he had to do.

DJ continued zipping, dodging boulders as he temporarily replaced his attack for pure evasion.

A boulder flew his way, leaving a blast of debris right behind him.

And that's when he realized.

"Throwing the boulder back at the monster did whole lot of damage.." he muttered to himself.

DJ zipped through two narrow skyscrapers, hitting the bell of a church close to them on his way down.

"Hadn't it?"

He panted, dashing through the streets as the monster kept stomping in his direction.

"Then what about a few dozen more?"

Filled with a burst of adrenaline, DJ began flashing through the streets faster and faster, dashing like lightning strikes as clones of him spawned wherever he had laid foot on.. on the roofs, the streets, the sewers, anywhere he could to make..

The perfect targets.

"Ready...

"Set...

"Fire!"

All the electrified clones of DJ screamed at the top of their lungs as they all blasted laser beams at the creature, getting its attention from all angles. It was a blinding light show as DJ used all of his energy to confuse the creature, resulting in a storm of boulders across the entire city as the raging monster became more and more confused. As DJ had hoped, right before he could be crushed, the rocks all started glowing as they were blasted back at the titan. It screamed in agony before falling to the ground, unconscious but twitching.

Some kind of black mass was finally visible, leaching itself underneath the creature's shell.

DJ was appalled by the sight, "What is that?"

"Finally," Sun Stone sighed. "I knew something was forcing you to do this."

Using her flagpole as a crowbar, she ripped the mass off the creature's back. Some kind of crimson liquid distinct from blood poured out from the wound. After jumping off and burning the mass to ashes, she placed a hand on its fainted forehead, closing her eyes.

"Alright, buddy, you're safe now. New Sunrise."

Stone glowed pure gold as she put all of her energy into the regeneration. Slowly, the creature's wounds began to close and its body reverted to normal, shrinking in size but solidifying in shape. In the end, all that remained was a tired beetle-like creature with beautiful golden horns, a single, worn-out wing, and a ring of leaves around its- his neck.

"Oh, what did they do to you..." she sighed. "You're all better, at least."
