The difference was that she was smaller, she was human. The monster, however, very clearly wasn't. It stood larger than most buildings around it, with some kind of odd fluid flowing through his uneven limbs. It was angry, too, almost irrationally so. She almost swore she could hear some resemblance to words in its furious roars, akin to a person in agony screaming barely comprehensible sentences...

Was it in pain?
If so, what caused it?
She needed a better look.
Sun Stone jumped onto the roof of a building as she materialized a flagpole in her hand, leaping off to the side of a skyscraper and stabbing the pole into it to cling along the wall.
It seemed as though DJ had finally managed to start doing some damage to the creature, hitting it over and over again at blinding speeds. However, just when he stopped for a brief moment, the rocks would start to reform over the creature's body, especially around its back like the shell of the beetle it resembled.
As if it was protecting something
Maybe some kind of parasite?
In that case, she knew exactly what to do.

In the meantime, DJ kept attacking the beast non-stop. The burst of energy from Sun Stone's healing was more than enough to keep him going for hours, but it was exhausting having to fight someone whose barriers kept growing back at every opportunity.
He tried to gain some distance, quickly wiping off some sweat from his brow. After a quick breath, a grin spread across his face as he took out his energy guns and blasted them at full force, and yet a giant boulder was launched off as a retort. It hurtled itself towards DJ until it was stopped just a few feet shy of him, becoming enveloped by a golden glow and blasting right back at the creature.
He gasped. "What the?!"
"You can't just do the same thing and expect different results," Sun Stone scolded, her right hand glowing like the rock as she landed by his side.
It clicked for DJ, "Oh! That's the thing you did with the car, isn't it?"
"It's called Luz Omnipotente, or 'All Encompassing Light'* in this language. It's the strongest of my powers, but it's also a last resort since it's so energy-consuming. Now get out of my way."
She threw her flagpole at the monster, following up with a few fiery blasts. It didn't look like it had any effect.
DJ figured he could lend a hand to pick up the slack so he generated as much electricity as he could and zipped over Sun Stone. He hit the creature with a lightning-fast kick before zipping around and hitting it from the back, then from below, then from the above, then-
"AUGH!" He was smacked out of the air again and went flying against Sun Stone. "Sorry, I-"
"Get lost," she scolded, making another boulder shatter into rocky chunks all of the same size just before it could hit her. "I told you to get out of my way, I have a plan."
DJ zipped off the ground to avoid a slash from the creature's distorted claws. "Then how can I help?"
He grabbed his Show Stoppers once more and blasted at the eyes of the beast, temporarily blinding it.
"Please, just let me work, I can handle this on my own," she said, annoyed, as she tried to jump onto the creature's rocky back, but it was too agitated for anyone to get a good grip.
"What are you trying to do?"
"I just need- No, damn it!" Sun Stone shook her head and hands to focus. "You don't need to know, stop distracting-"
"HEY, LOOK OUT!"
