Study Session / Snack Run.

Start from the beginning

"Soo... uhm, be honest with me, mami. Are you sure you don't have a thing with Jackson?" He mumbled. Y/N put her pencil down, contemplating whether she should tell him the truth.

And so she decided she would.

"Well, I think so. He offered to pay for me, he was... trying to protect me, I guess. Oh, and he gave me his number." She lit up when she recalled the last bit. However, it was the opposite for Miles.

"Hm. What was he tryna protect you for?" Miles played dumb, trying to get her to open up and tell him everything she thinks about Jackson.

"Oh, I guess I didn't tell you. I was at the mall when the Prowler came in and like started attacking people. Then he started to chase ME, and Jackson was just making sure I was okay." She rambled.

He nodded his head, jealously growing deep down as he heard her talk on and on about Jackson.

"But, uhm. Anyways, weren't we supposed to be working on physics?" She muttered. She looked at Miles, noticing him staring back.

The basorexia growing between the two, the more they looked at each other.

(Yeah, ik. I know my big words 😝)

(Did anyone else see that tiktok though of silly words 💀)

However, Y/N quickly snapped herself out of it, moving her eyes away from him.

"Oh, uhm. Yeah, so you got the answers wrong on questions 5, 9, 14, 17, 18, and 20." He quickly said.

"UGH and number five was like... one of the easiest ones," she whined. She planted her face down on her desk.

Mimes couldn't help but chuckle at her somewhat childish behavior. It reminded him of his ex a little too much—which he absolutely hated.

-

"Hey, thanks for helping me with this. I know I'm not the easiest person to work with." Y/N said while walking Miles to the door.

"Ay, mami, don't worry about it. I'll always help." He gave her a calm and warm smile, which made her heart flutter just a little bit.

"Oh- Uhm, yeah, I'll see you at school when im back." She waved him goodbye as he walked out the door.

Miles smirked to himself once he was no longer in view, pulling out his phone and dialing his uncle. He didn't answer, so he left a voice mail.

"I got some plans for ta night. So I ain't got time for any of the missions, sorry." He then clicked end and rushed to get his suit on.

Y/N, however, was busy texting Jackson. But she couldn't push down the feeling of worry, no—guilt. She somehow felt bad for texting Jackson.

But she also couldn't shake another feeling. The feeling of being watched.

"Maybe it's about time I bought some blinds for my window." She thought.

Y/N grabbed a nearby blanket and got up, walking over to the window and trying to get it to cover.

"Cone on, just stay up!" She spoke to herself. She leaned over, hoping that maybe her scotch tape could hold up her heavy blanket.

What a surprise, it couldn't.

"Y/N!!" Her mother called from downstairs. Y/N quickly dropped her materials and scurried down to the living room in which her mom was.

"Yeah? What's up?" Y/N asked. He mother was still laying down on the couch, her telenovelas on the TV.

"Baby, can you go to the gas station and get me some chips?" She sweetly asked.

"Mama, seriously? Did you already eat the party sized bag we bought yesterday??" She let out a sigh, quickly slipping on her shoes.

"I know, I know. I'm having a lazy day today. I'll cashapp you the money." She sighed out. Y/N groaned and grabbed her bag, then stepped out the front door.

"I'll see you soon. I'll try to make this quick." Y/N said. She waved off her mom and shut the front door.

The journey to the gas station seemed longer than usual, and Y/N couldn't help but feel like she was being watched.

Even when she entered the place, the feeling still didn't go away.

"Just this, please." She said while sliding the bag of chips toward the cashier.

"Uhm, okay, cash or card?" He mumbled. The cashier looked to be 17 or 18 and very tired.

"Cash is fine."

"Okay, your total is $2.37. Would you like to round up to the kids' charity..."

"Uhm, sure." Y/N handed him a five dollar bill, telling him to keep the change. She grabbed her bag and was about to walk out the door when she felt a pair of eyes on her.

She looked to her right to see a creepy old man staring directly at her. It made her shudder.

Y/N left the store with her belongings, making sure to walk quickly so she wouldn't have to deal with being out any longer.

She was almost in her neighborhood when a car pulled up next to her.

It was the creepy old man from earlier.

"Hey, sweetheart, do you need a ride home?" He said in such a kind and innocent way.

Y/N shot a quick glance at her street name before looking back at the car. "Uhm, no, thank you."

She threw a quick smile at the man and started to walk in a direction away from her street.

However, he still followed her. "Hey, it's rude to turn down a kind man's offer."

"HEY, you better quit ignoring me, little girl!"

"THAT'S IT!" The man got out of the car and pointed a gun at her, making her stop in her tracks. "Get. In. The. Car."

"What?"

"GET IN THE CAR! GET IN THE DAMN CAR!"

Y/N looked around for any place to run. She was still a little confused that something like this was actually happening.

Suddenly, a tight grasp around her arm yanked me toward the car. She slammed her feet down on the ground, pulling the opposite way from the old man.

"Hey, quit!" Y/N screamed out. He continuously yanked her arm, causing her to shake rapidly.

The closer she got to the car, the more scared she got. So she pulled away harder. She felt her arm start to ache.

THUMP!!

"Hey. Let go of her."
