Hermione was in hell. She was sitting her with the person she hates the most in this world, and not only that he is her 'soul mate'.
She was sitting there trying to figure out how to get this assignment over and done with as soon as possible. The assignment was that they had to create their own potion.
They had come up with a good idea and were now planning on what ingredients they were going to use to make the potion.
After many hours of fighting and threatening to kill each other, they had finally agreed on the ingredients. The next step was to go to the potions room to create their potion.
They made the short but horrible treak to the potions room. Once they entered the room, they made their way to the supply closet. Hermione gathered all the ingredence needed and placed them on the desk by Draco.
Draco reached for the porcupine quills, but Hermione smacked his hand away.
"Don't touch anything. You'll mess it up and then we will fail and I can't fail, Draco."
"Okay, don't get your wand in a knot, Granger." Draco replied.
"Thank you," she said.
Hermione grasped the porcupine quills and added 4 to the cauldron. She then added 12 drops of Horklump juice; this was the base of their potion. Hermione than added an array of different liquids and solids to create their potion.
Their potion was just about finished. They only had to add one last ingredient, a small but vital pinch of powdered beetle.
Hermione sometimes forgets important things. For example, she was so involved in the making of the potion that she had forgotten about name tattooed onto the inside of her right wrist, and she had absent-mindedly rolled up the sleeves of her shirt to keep them out of the way of her work. She reached over Draco to retrieve the last ingredient, when suddenly there was a firm, pale hand grasping her right arm.
Hermione blinked for a moment, startled by the sudden grip on her wrist. Finally, realisation caught up with her and she knew that Draco had seen the tattoo. Quickly, Hermione tried to pull her wrist away, hoping that he had possibly not read his name, but Draco's grip just tightened. As Hermione pulled harder, her elbow hit the cauldron full of the hot potion, causing it to fall to the floor. As they struggled for dominance Hermione felt the floor move from underneath her, and before she knew it she was falling.
She felt the wind move around her and felt Draco's grasp loosen and let go. She braced herself for the contact of the cold, stone floor, but it never came.
She had not landed on the floor she had landed on top of Draco. He had saved her.
Draco then with so much ease stood up with Hermione in his arms and carefully put her down. When she was standing firmly on her feet, he asked the most unlike- Draco thing he could have asked: "Are you okay?"
Hermione was so startled by his action of saving her, and the concern for her wellbeing that all she could do was nod. He replied with a "Good." then stormed from the room.
Hermione was left there wondering, what the hell had just happened? After 20 minutes of standing in the empty potions classroom, Hermione finally came to her senses. She cleaned up the spilled potion and made a new one, she then gathered her things and left the classroom.
As she walked the deserted halls to her dorm room, she could not shake the feeling that someone was following her. As she got closer and closer to her room the feeling got more and more intense and frightening. She was just about at the door to the Gryffindor common room, she was about to say the password when a hand clasped over her mouth.
