ch. 6 ~ ' date '

i put on my playlist, and immediately i heard "light a flame" by seventeen and it hyped me up a little bit as i got ready.

when i finished getting ready i looked in my mirror and smiled. i looked pretty good, and i wanted to show off just a little bit. i grabbed my phone off of its charger and put it on a shelf, aiming the camera at a wall in my room. i put the countdown on and ran so that the camera showed my whole outfit minus my face. i posed lazily, let the phone take the photos and looked to see which one was postable.

i rolled my eyes at changbin's antics and turned off my phone. i put it in my bag and figured that it was charged enough, it was at 87%. but then again, i could never be too careful, so i brought my portable charger too, tossing it into the bag. i had a small water bottle, my phone, wallet, headphones and charger in my bag. i double checked everything and i made sure i didn't leave anything behind, i didn't need or have keys to my apartment since it was purely just a number code. once i figured it had been long enough i looked at the time. 1:25 pm. almost time.

i made my way to the XY building, also known as the recording studios. the building was a tall concrete one, moss growing on the rocks near the entrance to the building and big vines hanging from the rooftop where i was supposed to meet jeongin.

opening the doors, i walked in and looked for an elevator; luckily i found one across the hall and i pressed the button, waiting for the elevator to land. it did after a couple moments, and i pressed the button that indicated to go to the rooftop.

when i got to the top the view was..stunning, to say the least about it. the sunset was golden over seoul's horizon and the light would peek through the tall buildings and skyscrapers.

"jeongin?" i called out for the boy, waiting for some sort of answer. i stepped out further, looking for jeongin.

suddenly i heard quick footsteps, a giggle and my name come from behind me. before i could turn and react, arms were thrown over my shoulders and i smiled warmly.

"chan-hyung!" the fox-like boy giggled my name and he attacked from behind.

"jeongin~!" i grinned. i turned to face him and wrapped my arms around his torso, lifting him up a little as i hugged him back.

suddenly, what was happening hit me and i let him go, putting him down and taking a step back. i scratched the back of my neck anxiously. "ah- sorry, was that too much?" i chuckled nervously, cheeks a bit red.

he only looked at me and smiled sweetly. "no, you're okay! my bad if i crossed a boundary..." jeongin mumbled softly. his cheeks turned pink and i smiled.

"you're fine." i smiled softly and patted his head. i guess i mean that in both contexts..

i hummed and walked over to the edge of the building, by the wall. i turned and leaned against it, facing jeongin. "so... why'd you wanna meet me out here instead of the cafe we usually go to?" i asked, my curiosity getting the best of me.

jeongin's cheeks turned red and he started to fiddle with his sleeves in what i thought was nervousness. "oh, um... i just thought it would be nice to show you this place, i guess?" he chuckled a little before stepping next to me, facing the sunset. he turned to look at me, smiling softly. "it's a pretty view, isn't it?"

i hadn't realized i was staring and he was looking straight into my eyes.

"..y-yeah. it is." i said, turning away from him for a moment. "you're prettier though..." i mumbled under my breath.

"what was that?" jeongin had caught my words and i looked back at him, his cheeks were even more red (if that was even possible at this point).

i felt my heart race. "i- um...i didn't say anything..." i said nervously, looking everywhere but his eyes. he took a step forward and i stood up, no longer leaning against the protective wall on the roof.

"hyung?" he looked at me curiously and he had the cutest expression on his face, it took all of my strength and control to not just kiss him right here and now. "what'd you say, hyung?" he asked softly. if only he knew what he did to me...ugh, the power this boy has over me is indescribable.

i looked him in the eyes and felt my heart start to race even faster. "i-i said you were prettier," i forced the words to come out of my mouth before i exploded of embarrassment.

i was expecting him to not say anything, weirdly. but he laughed. he just giggled. i tilted my head slightly in confusion. "hey," he started, his giggles fizzling out into the returning quietness of our surroundings.

then he said something that i didn't really expect.

"i think you're pretty too, hyung."

oooookay, so that took...WAY longer to come out than i thought. but i kept my promise ! it came out during september lmaooo

the reason this chapter came out so late was because freshman year is kicking my ass, lol. i'm on a sports team (water polo anyone ?) and im having trouble keeping up with homework. so obviously, chapters are going to unfortunately decrease in frequency — probably once or twice a month.
