"Thank you Khushi-ji. Aage se main sambhal loonga." [Thank you, I'll take it from here.]

ASR slowly peeled his eyes open to see a pink dupatta wafting in the air, Khushi's retreating shadow the first thing he saw as he came to his senses.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ASR was beyond pissed that an infuriating and irritating employee like Khushi had seen him in such a vulnerable state. His blood boiled at the mere thought.

"Aapki tabiyat ab kaisi hain?" Khushi hesitantly asked, regretting the moment the words left her mouth as Arnav glared at her. [How are you feeling now?]

"Just shut up!" Arnav bellowed making her flinch. "Kya samajhthi ho apne aap ko? Ki mujhpe bada ahsaan kardiya tumne? Aaj mein tumhari shakal bhi iss office mein nahi dekhna chahata." [What do you think of yourself? That I owe you now? I don't want to see your face in the office today.]

"Lekin yeh designs...." [But these designs?]

"Shut up dammit!" He slammed his hand against the table. "Tum AR ke guesthouse jaugi aur vahan ka kaam supervise karogi. Thaaki tumhari shakal dekhkhar mera din na kharab ho. Get out!" [You'll go to the AR Guesthouse and supervise the work there. So that I don't have to dela with you today. Get out!]

Payal gritted her teeth as she set the table, Shyam smiling oh so sweetly and thanking Payal for every little thing she placed in front of him.

Not a complete day since he moved in and Payal was already irritated to no end. The sleazy looks, her parents fawning over him, him constantly looking a the door for Khushi to return.

Payal's heart gripped a cold fear. Ever since she overheard her family talking about using Khushi to settle their debts, Payal didn't get a wink of sleep, fearing for her sister's safety.

Khushi came home late last night and didn't have much interaction with their new PG member. A fact Payal was infinitely glad for. For the first time, ever since Khushi started working in Delhi, Payal thanked ASR in her mind for keeping Khushi overtime.

The farther away from this snake her sister remained, the safer she was.

Until Payal uncovered the entire truth, she was not going to let Shyam even touch Khushi's shadow.

"Payal-ji, Khushi-ji nahi dikh rahi. Mujhe laga tha woh lunch ke liye toh ghar aayengi." [Payal, where is Khushi? I thought she would be home for lunch?]

"Office mein kaam bohot hota hain. Woh ghar sirf raat ko aati hain." [There's a lot of work pending. She comes home only after clocking out.]

"Unse kahiye ki dhyaan rakhe, zamaana bohut kharab hain." [Tell her to take care of herself, the times are horrid.]
