AT THE BLUE BASE...

The large blast door swung open, letting the scout enter. Soldier spun around swiftly and faced scout, letting out a smirk. "Ah, your not late. This time." Scout prepared to retaliate, but chuckled. The whole... thing... was a bit stupid.

He slouched towards the nearest open bench and slumped over, dropping his bat with a loud CLANK Next to him, demoman was on his 6th skrumpy, Chugging it down like there was no tomorrow. "Drunk is no way to be on the battlefield son," scout said in his best engineer impression. They both burst out into laughter until interrupted by the battle alarm.

AND AT THE RED BASE...

Soldier turned around, looking at the grump tired and annoyed scout, his shirt on backwards and his pants a little saggy. The scout immediately laid down on the two seats, yawning and sighing loudly. "Shut up maggot! Your a whole 5 minutes late!" The soldier yelled, looking away and grinning, chuckling under his breath, as he looks at the whole mercenary squad. Scout is tired and sleepy, soldier is doing whatever, pyro is playing with a Barbie doll, demoman, of course, drinking, heavy and medic talking, engineer watching pyro, sniper talking with the annoyed scout, and spy is smoking a cigarette.

Soldier threw a glass on the floor, catching everybody's attention, scout immediately falling off the chairs in surprise, and yelled. "We have lost to the RED Team twice in a row! This while not happen again you big babies!" He grabs a shotgun and loads it with a shotgun shell, firing it at the roof and putting it back down. "Now, move forward cowards!" As he says that, everybody starts grabbing their shit. Scout grabbing his bag, soldier getting rockets and his shotgun, pyro grabbing a flame thrower, demoman loading his sticky bomb launcher, heavy getting Sasha out of her bed, engineer grabbing his blueprints, medic grabbing his medigun and syringe gun, sniper getting his rifle and ammunition, and spy loading his revolver.

Announcer's voice boomed out of the loudspeakers, across the whole battlefield. "Mission begins in 60 seconds" Scout zoomed past his teammates, taunting them as they struggled to catch up. He positioned himself behind a large rock on a hill next to the blu gate and racked his scattergun. Demoman stood by the gate and placed stickybombs. You could tell he had drunk a bit too much from the way he placed the bombs alone.

"Mission begins in 30 seconds" Sniper ducked behind a tree and trailed his gun at the gate. Heavy and Medic stood back to back, medic wielding his medigun and Heavy winding up Sasha.

"Mission begins in 10 seconds" Sniper quickly tucked away and "made" a few jars of jarate.

"5."

Engineer's final teleporter whirrled into action

"4."

Spy decloaked behind the gate

"3."

"2."

"1."

A siren blared loudly as the gate doors open, and for a few seconds...nobody came out...scout, along with the other mercenaries, were confused. Demoman threw a broken half rock, trying to get their attention. "Come on out!" Soldier said, aiming his rocket launcher at the door were the payload was. None of them have seen any hint of the mercenaries come out.

"Mate, I think they left out the other door..." All of them groan as they go back, and stand near the tunnel, demoman detonating his old sticky bombs, and loading a new batch, putting them all around the rim of the tunnel, grinning and chuckling. Sniper was gripping the barrel of his gun harder, grumbling to himself from a far.

Sniper pushed scout to the floor and forced his way out of the heavy's grasp. "Don't get too cocky, soldier. something's definitely wrong here..." Scout lifted himself into a sitting position and slapped his cap back on his head. "Sniper's right. Makes no sense for them to just cower away after all this time."

They froze.. A loud muffling sound came from behind them. They jolted around instantly, drawing their weapons and pointing them at the threat... which turned out to be pyro having his say in things. They waited for him to finish, and awkwardly nodded, pretending they understood whatever he said.

They all sigh loudly, feeling slightly relieved that it wasn't an enemy. They all kept nodding like they knew what he was saying, besides soldier. "Mhm...Yea, Oh!" Almost everybody was saying, as they kept staring at the pyro.

Suddenly, the payload starting ticking...like it was going to explode...everybody panicked, spy clocking and running back, demoman and soldier using their weapons to fly across the frontlines, scout just running, heavy using the G.R.U. To speed up, engineer using his teleporter, sniper just needing to run, medic healing scout to run faster, and pyro using his jet pack to fly.

When the team reached the bomb, they each looked at eachother, wondering what to do next. "Are you just gonna hide in the corner and watch us die or are you gonna fight?!" Soldier yelled into the sky. Everyone looked at soldier, confused. "What? Someone must of set off that bomb!" Engineer ran over and examined the payload. "Something's ain't right here..." Medic walked over to see for himself, and his eyes widened. "It seems like the fuse has been, chewed off..."

Everybody did what they did to run away to come back, inspecting the wires, cables, and the bombs outside, when soldier looks at a bloody handprint left by someone...but who? They all look at it before scout tried to walk away, but stepping on a...green cut off bloody hand..."Ew..." Scout said, grossed out. Until they heard a growl or a gargle come from in the tunnel, and they all looked.

Scout began to tread over, with more curiosity than fear. The growl sounded again, louder and angrier. The moment scout reached the entrance to the tunnel, the creature lashed out, swinging at the scout. He cried out as it left a huge scratch on his torso and stumbled back, looking up to get a better view of the attacker. A large green humanoid in tattered clothes with greenish-purple skin. Large chunks of his flesh were missing, revealing his bones and muscle inside. his left arm was completely gone, and all that was left were a clump of nerves hanging out. His heart dropped as he finally realised what he was looking at.

A zombie...

Not just any zombie...

A BLU Heavy...

"What The hell is that?!" Demo yelled, staring at the rotting living corpse, as it drags its arms across the ground, leaving a trail of blood behind it. Sniper, without hesitation, goes for the headshot, causing its head to explode in blood, green skin flying onto the ground.

It stumbled back as the blood sprayed out of its fractured skull, though it kept moving. The bullet had barely missed the core of it's brain. All the mercs immediatley threw everything they had on hands at it, though it seemed to have no effect whatsoever. The heavy on the front lines ran out of ammo, and the creature knocked him back with surprising strength while he was reloading, causing him to crash into medic. Spy tried using it as an opportunity to strike, but it swung around knocking the spy into a nearby rock. Demoman tried to hit it with a pipe, though his hands were shaking so much that he was miles off. It went straight past it, next to the pyro, who couldn't get away in time before the pipe blasted him into the skyline. Soldier and the others had long ran out of ammo and all hope seemed lost, until a rocket came in from behind. A direct hit to the back sent chunks of rotten flesh and bone flying. When the smoke cleared, a figure stood upon the remains of the heavy.

The BLU soldier.

The BLU Soldier smacked the zombie with the rocket launcher until there was a loud breaking sound of some bones. He was breathing heavy, blood all over his face, his suit scratched up, green rotting skin on his helmet and a sore voice. "You're welcome."
