When I woke up, I literally jumped out of bed and quickly got ready. I wore my favorite outfit that I could put together. I wore a white tshirt with black trimming on the sleeves, collar, and bottom of the shirt. I pulled on some riped jeans and Converse high tops that I haven't worn in forever. I let my hair be naturally wavy because I knew it would be straight by the time I got there. I grabbed my car keys and guitar (just in case). I walked quickly into the kitchen and kissed Trystan on the cheek.
"Bye!" and I was out.
-
I arrived at the beach and I decided to leave my guitar in here. I mean, I'm pretty sure this is more of a date than interview. I walked to my usual spot just in case Luke was there. And not to my surprise, he was there, with flowers.
I couldn't help but smile. "Hi Luke!"
He smiled too. "Hey! I brought you flowers." Luke said as he handed them to me.
"Thanks so much! Soooo, where's this coffee shop?"
"Oh yeah, um lets go!" He grabbed my hand and we ran to Mojos.
Mojos was like any other hipster coffee shop. The walls were red brick and the floor was concrete. Dangling light bulbs were hanging everywhere. More lighting were surrounded by a small stage with tables and chairs in front of it.
Luke bent down and whispered to me. "One day, you're going to be up there singing and I'm going to be there." He pointed to the closest seat in front of the stage. "And I'm going to be screaming my head off!"
I laughed. "In the meantime, we should get some drinks! I took his hand and led him to the line."
Luke got coffee and I got hot chocolate. Luke pointed to my drink. "Hot chocolate? But it's summer?!"
I scoffed. "You can never go wrong with hot chocolate!"
-
We talked and talked for hours. I finally got to know him more and he knew more about me too. I'd say it was a successful date!
"So Mr. Hemmings," ever since I found out his last name, I've been saying it ever since. "Tell me more about your band."
"So Mrs. Cage," he said with a smirk. "My band's name is 5 seconds of summer and I'd said it's a dream come true. We went on tour and we have the best fans ever."
"What's it like to on tour?" I asked with eyes widening. I've always wanted to travel without worrying about the police and my father.
"Oh Lyse, it's fantastic! You see so many new places, meet amazing people, and I get to play my music to thousands of people who love it." he paused for a moment. "You should come next time!"
I nearly spit out my coco. "What?! Luke that would be amazing but I don't have the money!"
"Don't worry! I'll pay for you. It'll be like a late or early birthday present...wait, when is your birthday?"
"February 15th, so late. Anyway, that would be too much to ask for. That's so sweet of you to ask me but I'll have to turn down the offer."
Luke sighed. "It was worth the try."
"I'm sorry Luke. Just imagine if I told my brother 'Hey bro I'm going on tour with my new friends bye!'" I rolled my eyes. "Imagine how much trouble I'd be in."
He chuckled. "Okayyy."
-
After we finished our drinks, Luke walked me back to my car.
"I had a lot of fun, Luke. We should go on another date soon." I said with a smile.
"Yeah! Uh, how can I get in touch with you?" Luke asked. My brow furrowed, I didn't have a phone but...Trystan did.
"We got a new phone!" I said, "Here." I wrote down Trystan's phone number on a scrap piece of paper I found in my car. "Just when you call, ask for me. Kay?"
"Okay." He said with a smile. "Soo, I'll see you soon?"
"Definitely, Bye Luke." I stood on my tip toes and hugged him as he squeezed me. "You're too tall, Hemmings!" I giggled.
Luke laughed too and picked me up and swung me around. He set me down after our hug. "Better?"
I chuckled. "Better."
I got into my car and waved at Luke as I started to back out. As I was driving home, I squealed.
"BEST. DATE. EVER!!"
