Yeah, I'm not surprised by it
I've seen it before, after all
With those subjects, I just watched
Now I'm in the glass, trapped too.
I can feel the fringes
Slowly watching my own descent
Feeling just like the rest
All I can do is laugh
Laugh at that idiot
Who thought the ground wouldn't
crumble from underneath him
Now he lays upon bare rubble
Where people like him belong.
No need for anger
Nor acidity and conflict
We're better than that
Besides, if what I saw was real
Life will give me a break
I'll see unfamiliar, yet warm faces
Who's gaze won't petrify me
Hell, I might even see you again
But I won't be counting on it.
I hoped it'd stop one day
I don't like it, but it wouldn't change
Just a nuisance, I hate to say
But it stayed that way, for ages
Falling
But I remember the vision
And it helps me smile
If only for a little bit
That little break helps
At least for the meantime
So while the fringes may be closer than ever
That obstacle won't stop me
I'll be in balance again.
