Frazier's Hidden Talent.

Start from the beginning

"OK." I nodded.

"Convince her to be the lead." He nodded.

"Who?" I shook my head.

"Cob, are we ready!" Kai yelled from the stage.

"Yeah babe! The music sounds fine, just to add the lyrics in." Cobi yelled.

"Get out on this stage, right now." Kai looked backstage. "No one is here, and we don't have a lead yet, so you have to do it. You're fine when it's just you and I, so let's go." He crossed his arms. "Do not shake your head at me." He rolled his eyes and walked backstage.

And came out dragging Frazier with him.

"Kai, stop." She whined.

"No. You have to do this so I can time it and adjust. They're not here." He pointed at the band behind him. "It's just me and you. Look at me." He nodded.

She took a deep breath as he handed her a microphone.

"Can she sing?" Tony leaned forward.

"I have no clue." I shook my head.

"Yes." Cobi whispered.

"You guys ready?" Kai swung his guitar in front of him.

They all nodded.

"OK. Remember, she starts, I go in, Eric you join in lightly on drums, then Ryan and Jake with acoustic and bass. Nate with piano."

They all nodded.

He looked at Frazier. "Deep breath in." He nodded.

She took a deep breath in. But didn't let go.

"Fray you've got to breathe out too." He sighed.

She cleared her throat and let it go. "Ready."

"OK. Now, really bring it out, OK?"

She nodded.

'You're here, right?' Kai linked us.

'With Cobi.' Tony linked.

'10/4.'

'Kai what the hell is this.' I sighed.

'You'll understand after.'

"Alright Fray. On my go."

She took another deep breath and raised her mic.

Kai pointed at her.

And off she went, eyes closed, shaking.

"OK. Hold on." Kai shook his head.

He walked over and stood right in front of her. "Just look at me. Mirror me. OK? Keep your eyes on me." He nodded.

She cleared her throat and nodded.

"Whenever you're ready. Take your time." He gave her a small smile.

"Does she have stage fright?" I whispered.

"Not technically, no." Cobi shook his head.

*How was I supposed to know*

In came Kai.
*I'd feel nothin' in my bones
Been puttin' on a show for everybody but me
I've been comin' home alone*

In came Eric on drums.

*Dyin' fast and livin' low
At least that's how it feels when I can't sleep*

Then joined the other 3.

Kai mouthing all the words with her.

She actually sounds really good.

*I don't think that I can do this anymore
Lyin' awake another night here on the bathroom floor*
