THE ONLY INTENSE SITUATIONS MATT thought he was going to have to deal with today was that uncomfortable conversation with madi.

he thought he was going to have a break from that, but clearly he wasn't going to get that today.

it wasn't nick or chris trying to talk to him the way that madi had earlier—although nick really wanted to.

it was only when the front door opened and not one but two voices getting closer with quiet footsteps, was matt in for a rude awakening.

because as soon as he gets up from the same place on the couch that he was in before—when madi was talking to him—everything changes when he sees that familiar, but annoying face that's behind madi.
