*Bell rings*
"Finally, it's break time." I say packing up my books and putting them in my bag. I walk out the classroom and head to my usual spot.
"Bonnie!! Ngkemele" (wait for me) i turn around to look at who called me, my best friend Pluto along with another friend, Mellow are walking up to me.
"In which class were y'all in just now?" I ask my friends as we reach our chill spot. "Business Studies, she gave us so much work bruh" Pluto tells me. "Damn, i have Business after break." I tell her, she looks at me as though telling me that im going to experience the same.
I take out my school food to eat when i see the stoner boys walking over to their chill spot, right next to us. I look at one of them, Bando, close friend and the only one who knows my secrets. We make eye contact and he gives me the smallest smile, one only i can see and i smile back at him.
His friends start lighting a blunt and i walk over for a lil puff, "Yo, can i get a puff?" I ask and the group of boys look at each other before one of them passes me the blunt. I take it and take a puff, inhale the smoke and block it in my throat before letting out the smoke. I take another 4 puffs before i give it back, Bando kept eye contact and watched my every move and watched my eyes drop and become red, he smirks at me when he notices that im high. I wink at him before walking back to my friends.
"Why didnt you call me over, i also wanted a puff" Pluto says as i stand next to her "Shit ma bad, i can go ask for you though for real" i say as i try not to laugh, she looks at me and shakes her head when she notices how high i might be. "Nah I'll do it myself" she goes over there and does what i did, i notice someone looking at her and her looking at the person, i can see the tension they have, she hands back the blunt and she walks back over.
"The fuck was that all about?" I ask her when she stands next to me, she looks at me and DAYUM is this girl high asf. We start laughing. "Damn girl, are you okay?" I ask her, "Im gone at the current moment." She replies.
I then realised that Mellow wasn't with us, i look around and see her with her other friends. I feel someone looking at me and i look towards the stoner boys and see that Bando is the one looking at me, he has his phone pressed to his ear and he looks serious. He is talking to someone on the phone and it looks serious.
The call ends and he stands up saying something his friends before he walks in my direction but before he can reach me someone calls my name,
"BONNIE!!"
I turn to whoever called my name, i freeze when i see him. Robin. My ex detective boyfriend and the father of my twins.
He is walking towards me with urgency in the steps he takes, "who is that?" Pluto asks me. "Robin." I simply answer, she looks at me confused. By the time he reaches me Bando had already been by my side.
"Bonnie, we have to go." He says as he grabs me by the arms, i yank it back from his grip. He turns to look at me and again tries to grab my arm but i move it out of his reach. He looks at Bando as if telling him to help him. My gaze shifts between the two with confusion on my face. Do they know each other?
Bando looks at me, "Come on Bon, we have to go" he says. "Go where? What's going on?" Pluto asks. I look at Bando in his eyes, Oh, this is serious. I turn to Pluto and tell her that I'll text her later. I take my school bag and my lunch before following Bando and Robin.
"Would either of you like to tell me whats going on?", Robin looks towards Bando but says nothing, "Do you two know each other?" I ask another question. Still no answer. "Okay look Bonnie, i need you to go to class when the bell rings and take Bando with you" Robin says avoiding my gaze. "Me and Bando aren't classmates but i guess i can sneak him into class, but really Robin what's going on?"
The bell rings, "There is no time for me to explain right now, i just need you to go to class where it's safe, im gonna give you a signal and when you hear it, run to the main gate. I'll be in the car waiting for the both of you, understand?" Robin asks looking between me and Bando waiting for us to respond with confirmation. Bando nods and i just roll my eyes, he runs off and i start walking to class with Bando following behind me.
The second bell rings meaning we are late, while on the way to class i look at Bando and he looks at me, he knows what im thinking. He sighs, "He is my brother Bonnie.." I stop dead in my tracks just outside of class. I go to say something but i hold back, i sigh.
Oh boy...
"You have a lot of explaining to do, but for now let's just get you into class and hope the teacher doesn't see you." I give him a bucket hat to wear so the he can hide his face, i walk into class and he comes in right after me, i sit down at my desk and he sits by the empty table behind me.
"Wait, what signal are we supposed to wait for?" I turn to Bando, he is laying on his arms to hide his face, i try not to laugh at the situation, he looks at me and shrugs before laying on his arms again, "we will just know i guess" he replies.
"Ms. Rakaki, wa rasa. O tla late class'eng yaka mare wa rasa." (You're making a noise. You come late to my class but you're making a noise.)The business teacher says to me. "Askies mam, kopa tswarelo." (Sorry mam, please forgive me) I say putting my hands together as if praying with an innocent smile on my face. She laughs it off and continues to teach the class, i sigh in relief because she didnt notice Bando.
My classmates on the other hand are noticing but they wont say anything
