chan was handed the keys and he hopped into the driver's seat, starting the car while jeongin got into the passenger's seat.
"i didn't even do anything," the younger mumbled. "he just...who does that?" he asked himself, frustrated. "hyung."
"yes, jeongin?" the older listened to him patiently, his hands still on the wheel as they drove.
"why'd that guy do that to me? why did he pin me to the wall? i didn't do anything to him, hyung! he kept mumbling gross crap into my ear, and he smelled like ass," the blonde asked, frustration and disgust in his tone.
chan listened, but he didn't have an answer. he wished he had been more aware of where jeongin was, he wished he had kept an eye out for the younger. "i-i don't know, jeongin. i'm sorry, i should've kept you near me, we weren't supposed to leave each other," he mumbled, disappointed in himself that he didn't keep jeongin safe like he had told himself to.
"it wasn't your fault it happened to me hyung, it's just...i don't understand how someone can do something like that," jeongin explained, his brows knitted together in frustration. "like, what? who in their right mind-"
"i don't think he was in his right mind, innie," chan said, thinking about it. "i think he was drunk. he probably won't even remember what he did, which pisses me off."
jeongin nodded after a couple moments. "yeah...probably not. i still think it sucks how people think they have the right to do that." he looked out the window and watched as the buildings and trees passed by the car window in a blur.
time skip - 10:24 pm
setting - jeongin's apartment
chan let jeongin slowly put in his pin number to his apartment, letting the two of them inside the small, one-bedroom apartment.
"so..do you want anything to eat? i'm kinda hungry." jeongin asked, and then he proceeded to sit down on the couch, leaning back on it and closing his eyes.
"if you want, i can make something. do you mind if i look through your kitchen?" the older asked, seeing how tired jeongin was on the couch. he looked comfortable.
"look in the fridge, there should be some leftover pizza or something.." the boy mumbled from his comfortable spot on the couch. chan nodded. he opened up the fridge to a neatly organized space, leftovers on one of the shelves.
"found it~" the older said, pulling a container with a couple pizza slices from the fridge. it was even labeled -- it had a date on it, reading 09.23.23 on it. "the pizza's still good, i think." he chuckled as he opened up the container and closed the fridge. he put two slices on a plate he found on the drying rack and put them in the microwave.
the almost-sleeping boy on the couch perked up at the smell of food and the beeping from the microwave. "ooh, that smells good..~" he mumbled, starting to rise from his spot on the couch, but chan was quicker. he sat the barely awake jeongin back on the couch, handing him a slice of warm pizza.
"mhm~! eat up, innie." chan smiled, taking his own slice of pizza and sitting down next to jeongin. the couch was comfortable and the atmosphere was a warm and inviting one. the older started eating his pizza, the pair eating in a nice kind of silence.
once they were done, chan grabbed the used plate and took it to the sink, placing it in the empty sink and putting the pizza container into the fridge where it was found. chan cleaned the plate and put it back where it was on the drying rack, walking back to the couch and sitting next to jeongin. he checked his phone and looked at jeongin, who was peacefully sleeping. jeongin's head was gently leaned onto the couch's back, snoring quietly. chan looked at the younger with a fond smile, putting his phone onto the dark blue coffee table. the apartment was rather colorful; the walls were a slight off-white, cream color and the furniture was various colors, all complimenting each other. whoever helped get furniture and put it together was a color theory genius and clearly knew what they were doing. however, it was still the dorm of a college student, so it wasn't extravagant.
chan walked to another room in search of a blanket or something to put over the younger boy asleep in the main room. he came across a big closet and opened it, seeing extra pillows and blankets in it. he sighed in relief and took a pillow and blanket back to the main room.
he put the two items down on the floor before waking the younger just barely. "innie, lay down please~" he whispered, and jeongin more-than-happily complied, swinging his legs onto the couch and put his head down so that he was laying on his side. the older smiled softly and gave him a pillow, tossing the blanket over the younger who sleepily snuggled into the warmth around him.
chan was about to walk away again to grab another pillow and blanket for himself, when he felt a hand on his wrist. "wh..whrr yh gmmgh..?" the small voice mumbled from the pillow.
the older chuckled softly. "sorry?" he crouched down to meet the younger's eyes--or..eye. one half of jeongin's face was comfortably nuzzled into the pillow, squishing his face slightly and it made his cheeks a little puffier.
"where..where are you going, hyung..?" he muttered again, looking somewhat sad that chan was leaving him again. it made the older's heart race a little, his cheeks slightly red at seeing the sleepy boy try to talk to him.
"i'm gonna get another pillow and blanket for myself, jeongin." he said softly. jeongin nodded and closed his eye again, (or he closed both of his eyes, but chan wasn't able to see the other one so he'll never know.)seeming to nod off once more. his hold, that was already soft on chan's wrist, had softened even more so that he wasn't really holding onto his hyung anymore.
chan chuckled softly at the younger and left again to grab another pillow and blanket. he unfortunately had nothing else to change into, so he was forced to sleep in the clothes he'd brought for himself.
the older brought back a pillow and blanket for himself, laying down on the opposite side of the couch. the couch was an "L" shape, jeongin on one side and chan on the other. chan was about to fall asleep when he heard more mumbling from jeongin. the older couldn't tell if it was the alcohol or the sleep affecting the other boy, but he still listened in to the mumbling.
"hyung..~ you're really pretty." chan swore he heard jeongin say it. his eyes widened and his heart raced. his face flushed.
"w-what..?" chan sat up, leaning back on his palms to listen to the boy more. "what was that, jeongin...?"
"i said you're really pretty. i like your eyes." the sleepy boy muttered. earlier, chan could barely understand what jeongin was saying; but now his words were crystal clear to the older. "my friends make fun of me for liking you. but i think you're really sweet and also, you're, like, really hot." he muttered sleepily.
"i-i'm flattered." the older mumbled, his cheeks burning red. "t-thanks, innie.."
"mhm." the younger hummed before seemingly passing out for the third time.
chan didn't sleep much that night.
