the car ride to the party was quiet. it wasn't completely silent, since there was music playing from the radio.
"you look nice by the way." i blurted, trying to clear the air of any awkwardness. i wasn't lying -- he did look nice. he was wearing a loose green t-shirt with a design on it, and jean shorts that hung around his waist perfectly. his green converse looked good on him too.
i looked to my side and i saw him blushing a little, a small smile on his face. "you look good too, chan-hyung." he said, taking a small glance at me. i had a cropped white t-shirt and black jeans, black vans to match. i had a thin black choker on too, and jeongin seemed to take note of it. "the choker looks really nice on you, it's a cool accessory." he mumbled while he drove.
i smiled softly. "thanks, jeongin."

soon enough, we made it in front of the place where the party was -- it was a pretty big house, other college students hanging out outside, and i could see the LED lights from inside.
it looked a little different than the parties i had gone to in australia -- a lot less extreme-looking. the party still looked like a lot of fun, it just didn't seem as daring as some of the ones i had gone to. and thank god it did, because i needed a break from all the crazy stuff people would do.
jeongin and i decided to stick together for the party and that i would stay sober so we were able to get home on our own. we were practically glued together, whenever he seemed to almost drift into another direction, i made sure to pull him with me so that we didn't accidentally get separated.
but we did at some point, and i lost him.
i was looking around for jeongin, trying to look for the blonde boy in a sea of other college students. unfortunately for me, i was short and i wasn't able to see very well. but i heard faint yells and i recognized the voice immediately as jeongin's.
i ran towards the sounds, following jeongin's voice as i got closer and closer to the source.
THIRD PERSON'S POV
when chan reached jeongin's voice, he stood there in shock for a moment. there was a guy, significantly taller than jeongin, pinning the boy to the wall and kissing his neck. jeongin was yelling for him to stop and wiggling from under him. the guy had multiple rings and he was dressed rather nicely -- a black button-up and jeans. his hair was black with white tips and he was muscular, but that didn't seem to really faze chan at all.
chan walked up to the guy and pulled him off of jeongin. "hey, get away from him! he's saying no!" he said, clearly aggravated but he tried to keep calm. the guy was still on the ground, slightly dazed from what had just happened. a couple of people had noticed the commotion, but paid no mind.
chan turned back to look at jeongin. "hey, are you okay? do you wanna leave?" he asked, his hands on jeongin's shoulders and looked him in the face. "jeongin, can you hear me?" he got jeongin's attention just barely over the loud music. unfortunately, their friends were nowhere to be found in the house.
"i..i wanna leave..." he mumbled, and chan couldn't hear a thing over the blaring music in the background but he could read jeongin's lips to just barely understand him.
chan nodded, pulling jeongin into a hug. the boy smelled slightly of alcohol, he was probably tipsy. "we'll go back to your place, alright? i can call jisung." he yelled over the music. jeongin hugged back and nodded in agreement. jeongin was quickly taken out of the house by chan, both of the boys bee-lining to the younger's car.
