it has been exactly 9 years since i left korea . my mom, yujin and i went to live in australia for a while after my parents' divorce , but it was time to go back to seoul

once we've arrived to our destination , we moved into a cozy apartment , trying to adapt a new lifestyle in korea .

i called an old friend i had in korea , dayeon, and we hungout for a while . we went shopping and bought a lot of street food . she introduced me and taught me a lot of the korean culture and language before coming back to school tomorrow

"its a good thing we're attending the same school, or not you would be a lonely loser the whole year" dayeon teased

"actually i make friends pretty easily now" i looked at her with a jokingly offended face .

first day of school.

"please welcome your new classmate , han yerin ." the teacher announced. "you may introduce yourself"

"hi, my name is yerin or you can call me rin. nice to meet you all!"

"you may sit beside hanni." the teacher instructed , then a cheerful girl subtly raised her hands up hinting she was hanni . "now, lets begin the class!"

as the class continues , i couldn't help but stare at a tall figure with dark brown hair who was sitting right in front of me . the smell of his cologne was oddly familiar , but i couldn't bring myself to remember who it was .

"that's it for today class . have a good lunch break!" the teacher left the class . many students were now going to the cafeteria , and hanni offered for me to sit with her and her friends which i was very grateful of

"hey guys i brought a new student with us if you dont mind!" hanni said . she had many friends , one of them coincidentally being dayeon .

i sat beside dayeon and a very energetic boy named junhyeon . we all got along pretty well and i was being very talkative , which was unlike me
