You are talking to your father, Curien, over the phone.
Curien: "I hope you're doing okay, Y/N. Our agreement for allowing you to travel was that you'd take care of yourself."
"I'm fine, Dad. Besides, I got Lucario and the other Pokémon helping out."
Curien: "Okay, just call every week to keep me up to speed on your activities, and proceed with caution. I heard reports about Pokémon thieves in the Sinnoh region recently. It's a long way from Ryme City."
"No problem, Dad. Me and others can take care of ourselves."
Lucario nodded.
Curien: "Okay. Call me back, Y/N."
After he hung up, you put your phone away and walked down the road with Lucario. You arrived in Celestic Town and were amazed by the sight of it.
You decided to visit the shrine on the city's map. You bought a sandwich and gave Lucario half of it, hanging a small piece behind his back.
Near the shrine, you heard fighting and went over to see what it is. Arriving at the scene, you and Lucario see Cynthia in a Pokémon battle with the infamous Pokémon Trainer, Paul.
"Oh, it's Paul," you said to yourself.
Lucario expressed his hatred of Paul.
