Chapter 9

Anne's eyes widened and looked at her with a shocked look "You must be kidding me."

Jennie pretended not to understand, and blinked, "Can you?"

Anne endured her anger, and spoke angrily, "Do you know that R&D never finds a spokesperson from Huaxia? Do you know how much effort I spent fighting for this resource for her? Do you know that her current title is the spokesperson for the entire Huaxia District? She was already the first of her kind, how much further do you want her to rise? Do you want her to be the global spokesperson? Who do you think you are, Empress of the Movies, Kim?"

Anne sneered, and laughed angrily: "Either you're crazy, or I'm crazy, you choose."

"I'm crazy, I'm crazy." Jennie touched her nose sheepishly. She smiled placatingly, "I'm just asking, I didn't mean that she must be promoted."

Anne: "Humph."

Jennie groaned, smiled again, and said in a negotiating tone, "The world isn't a good place. Do you see any hope for the spokesperson of the Asia-Pacific region?"

Anne pouted and turned away.

Jennie grabbed her quickly, "I'll ask, I'll ask."

Anne sat down again and sneered, "Okay, like I don't know you yet, but I'll do it for her."

Jennie pretended to sigh, "After what I've been through, I want to give her anything."

"What do you mean you give her nothing? Besides her stupid manager letting her go out to drink and laugh, and playing minor roles, her movies, her endorsements, her advertisements, her magazines, were any of these not given to her by you?" Anne sneered.

She had been in the circle for so long and knew the unspoken rules so well. In terms of sponsors, Jennie was the best of the best.

Jennie chuckled and corrected her, "You gave them to me, it's tough work being a broker. Are you tired? Should I rub your shoulders for you?"

Anne tutted, "Stop flattering me, it's annoying." The corner of her lips curled up silently.

Jennie's eyes narrowed, and she stepped closer, striking the iron while it was hot, "Manager Ling, so about Lili becoming the spokesperson for the Asia Pacific region..."

Lisa had just taken home the Best Actress Award, so it was not completely impossible to negotiate terms. Of course, the main reason was that Anne was capable. In recent years, her and Jennie's shared achievements have earned them a wider network than before.　　

Anne glanced at her, then glanced at her again meaningfully.

"Manager Ling." Jennie interrupted her gently. After she said this, she returned to her cynical look, her slender legs crossed casually and gracefully.

Anne: "..."

"You already heard." Jennie twitched the corners of her lips, but the smile did not reach her eyes, "So can we skip this topic?"

After a pause, her eyelashes drooped, and she added tiredly, "I hope you will help Lili fight for her endorsement."

"The Script!" Anne said, "There have been a lot of scripts sent in for you recently. Would you like to check them?"

"Are there any types I haven't acted in?" When talking about scripts, Jennie cheered up a little and asked casually.

Jennie was notoriously high yield, so over the years, she had played in countless types of movies.

 Anne went through her memory and blurted out: "Yes, but..."

"But what?"

Anne walked back to the desk, bent over, and pulled out a stack of printed A4 paper from the drawer, "You can look at it yourself."

Jennie looked at her curiously and turned to the first page of the script.

After reading the character setting and relationship on the first page, Jennie smiled immediately, and exclaimed, "I have never acted in such a film."

Putting the same-sex theme aside, it was a taboo teacher-student relationship.
