Tale of Three (Script)

Scene 3

Ani- *With puppy dog eyes* You promise?

*Fade and Boomer both nod*

Narrator- After two hours past the boys reach the town. Ani being carried by Boomer points towards the brothel that they learned about from some people they passed by on their trip. Refusing to be put down tells the boys that they should head there, and they did. Making their way inside, Ani slid off of Boomer's back and pushed her way through the crowd and sat at a small table in the back of the brothel waiting for someone to talk to them.

Boomer- *looking around* Last time I saw one of these was in a book.

Fade- Ya that's because it's illegal where we are from.

Bommer- Why does it look like any other club or bar just a little old fashioned?

*Ani and Fade look at him in confusion.*

Fade- Please tell me that you're joking? Do you really not know what a Brothel is?

Boomer- *shakes is head* Is it bad?

*Ani starts to laugh hysterically*

Fade- Ok well it's like a gentlemen's club just with the aspect of the strippers and touching.

Boomer- *Eyes widen* It's a prostitution club?

Mysterious voice- We prefer a different word hun.

*Ani and Fade holding back a laugh*

Boomer- Sorry

Mysterious voice- Don't worry, you're new to this place? You three can call me Sarah, and I will be helping you out for today.

Ani- We will start with beer and go on from there.

Sarah- Yes of course I'll be right back with that.

Fade- Did you see it, Ani?

Ani- Ya how much you wanna bet that she's a Demi-human.

Fade- She's not the only one. Plus I saw what you were looking at, and it wasn't her face.

*Sarah returns with the beer.*

Ani- So what. Oh hey, Sarah was it?

Sarah- Yes what can I do for you?

Ani- Me and my friend here want to know what kind of Demi you are?

Sarah- *Adjust the collar around her neck* I'm an elf demi. If you want a new server I can...

Fade- No we don't want a new server you will be fine.

Boomer- What does the collar even mean? *taking a drank*

Sarah- It means we are slaves.

Boomer - That's messed up. Me and Fade know how that feels.

Sarah- Are you two slaves as well?

Fade- No darling, he's referring to our history. We're not from this kingdom.

Sarah- Oh well I'm sorry to hear that. Our kingdom is very lovely to be here.

Ani- So can you tell us more about the collars?

Sarah- Well us Demi-humans are treated poorly and for most of us to live we must sell our body or someone else's body to make any good money. Most of us who were the collars are sold off as slaves or sold to work in the mines where there are monsters and other evils. There are two ways to get the collars off. One way is that the master we are sold off to removes them and sets us free; or we pay off our debt. And for us Demis the debt is sometimes too high for us to pay. The bid price for us slaves will start at one gold and go up from there. Once we are bought the person who bought us will double or triple the amount we were bought at so it would be hard for us to pay it off.
