Rainy Day - Danny Philippou

Y/n covers their head as rain pores down the street. They were sure there wasn't going to be any rain. They left their sweater at home thinking it would be sunny. As they try to find cover the rain gets stronger. They find a nearby hotel but as they try to enter someone stops them.

"I'm sorry but you can't just enter. We need to see your registration to enter the building. Only people who registered to stay can be in here."

Says a male security guard blocking the door.

"Listen I'm only here to cover from the rain!"

Y/n tells the security but he doesn't move.

"I'm not going to say this twice. Only people who have a place here can enter. Please leave."

He says waiting for them to leave. Y/n sighs and turns around entering back into the rain. The coldness of the air comes them and they shiver. They make their way through the cold streets and find themselves in a park. It's empty as any park would be on a rainy day.

There's no where to go I guess I'll just give up.

They think to themselves and sit down to the nearest bench. They close their eyes listening to the rain hit the floor and the sounds of cars passing by.

"Hey, excuse me?"

A non-familiar aussie calls out. Y/n opens their eyes and turns out to find the source of the voice. As they turn around they spot a somewhat tall man talking slowly towards them shyly.

"U-um what is it?"

Y/n says nervously. They scan their face and take note. 

He looks cute...

They think to themselves.

"Well I was just wondering why you're out here in the rain. It's freezing cold and you'll catch a cold!"

He says clearly concerned for their safety.

"The people around wouldn't let me take shelter until the rain went away so I just gave up. Anyway, I'm Y/n what's your name?"

Y/n asks clearly intrigued on who this mysterious man was.

"My names Danny Philippou! You have a beautiful name by the way. I find it stupid that hotel managers won't just let people take cover from the rain!"

Danny says disappointed. He seemed genuinely concerned for them and he seemed like he actually cared for them. Y/n had never had someone care about them.

"W-well it's alright I rarely get sick."

Y/n says confidently and reassuringly but then they start to sneeze. 

"I guess you better double check on that. I have hot chocolate at home how about you come over for the night? I doubt you'll be okay here in the rain all cold. I know a bit about taking care about someone! Me and my brother would always get hurt so a cold I can handle easily!"

Danny says giving them a big warm smile that could make anyone fall for him.

Well with that how can I refuse?

Y/n thinks to themselves and reach out for Danny's hand. Danny grabs their hand and helps them up.

"That's a yes I'm assuming!"

Danny chuckles and holds their hand tightly. Y/n can hear their heart skips a beat. 

This man had just stolen their heart. <3
