Ch.1

You stared blankly at the wall sitting in the dark with a bored look in your beautiful eyes.

You were watching your favorite anime, Tokyo Revengers eating your favorite snacks when suddenly the power went out.

You swiped out your phone from your pocket, light radiating from the phone exposing your huge eyebags and dark circles. You hadn't slept in days, you reluctantly called your mother.

"Y/N. WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU???YOU DROPPED OUT OF SCHOOL. DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED I WAS," she yelled at you. "WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING."

She had three months to check on her eight year old daughter but she never did. She left you a minor alone to fend for yourself so she could live out the rest of her days with her new family.

"I was thinking I didn't want to do that anymore" You shot back in a snarky voice. Now you didn't even want to ask for her help anymore.

"Y/N I'M NO LONGER GOING TO BE DEALING WITH YOUR BULLSHIT. I'M GETTING MARRIED NEXT WEEK AND MY FIANCÉ DOESN'T KNOW YOU EXIST AND I WANT IT TO STAY THAT WAY."

You both went silent. You had always expected this to happen and back then you thought you would be way on your way to college. You hummed, "I hope this one last longer than your previous ones."

How could she do this to you?

You hung up the phone and deleted her number. You hugged your knees to your chest as you quietly sobbed.

You weren't always like this. You used to be a lively, optimistic outgoing girl that everyone adored. Your bright sunny personality that drew people in but that changed ten months ago.

It all started two years ago when there was a transfer student from Kyoto, Yuri Kiyotaka who was rumoured to be the daughter of an entertainer.

Yuri became the person everyone hated because her mom was known for breaking up families even you knew she was bound to get bullied, and it wasn't in your place to help her.

A month went by and Yuri was the joke of the school, everyday she would end up with new bruises and scars across her whole body.

You had once tried to approach her but your friends dragged you away warning you about her previous deeds in her old school, she was expelled for having sex with her teachers.

Yuri was plagued with dirty rumours, you felt bad for her even though you didn't participate in the bullying.

"Ramen" you sang shoving your books in your bag a toothy grin plastered across your face. You were excited for the new restaurant opening up close by your school.

You had politely turned your friends down so you go there in hopes of running into Yuno. His parents owned the restaurant and the school so you figured he'd be there. "I'm going to eat some ramen."

The door creaked open and Yuri poked her head inside the door, she stood by the door in her soaking wet uniform and you felt guilt instantly pile up in your stomach.

"Kiyotaka-san." You called out jogging towards the front of the class stopping infront of the girl, she didn't make eye contact. You unzipped your bag and handed her your gym uniform. Yuri accepted the uniform but kept her gaze low. "Thanks for the help."

You could see how skinny she was and you wondered if she was eating alright because people kept on stealing her money or food. You thought it was pretty low because how broke does a person have to be to steal lunch money.

"I was planning to go out for ramen at a nearby place and there is no one to go with."

Yuri looked at you quizzically, "ask your friends or something," she replied and you could sense the anger in her voice.
