you & jojo have been dating for about 2 years, it's 1993. jojo has been developing a drinking problem lately & you've been worried about him, he's been staying out very late, hasn't been replying to your pages, you only see him for a small amount of time each day & this one particular day you've just got to the point where your too fed up.

your sitting in your living room watching late night tv waiting for jojo to come home, again —— all you want to do is spend time with him. you've been calling him all night, & he hasn't been answering per usual.

so you decide to try & call him one last time.

y/n & jojos call thread

he picks up & you hear talking in the background with low music.

jojo - sup baby.
*you can tell by his voice he's under the influence*

y/n - jojo, where are you ? i've been calling you for hours.

jojo - im out wit da guys

y/n - why haven't you been answering my calls jo ?

jojo - i didn't hear my phone ring

y/n - jojo, i've been worried about you lately &- *jojo cuts you off*

jojo - mann ion wanna hear allat

y/n - please listen.

jojo - go ahead man.

y/n - i miss you jojo, the real jojo. you've been drinking day & night like it's a necessity, i only get to see you for a minimum time a week. you haven't been sober in i don't know how long, we haven't went out with each other in months ... i just- i just- ... *sigh* i just feel like i'm losing you joel. *i say as tears run down my face*

i could tell by the silence on the phone that jojo got a little emotional, i heard him sigh & the people in the background & the low music goes away. i wanted him to understand me .. i didn't wanna lose him to alcohol.

jojo - i'm sorry baby .. ik i've been f*ckin up lately, you just should've told me how you felt ... imma do better, i promise.

y/n - it's hurting me jojo...

jojo - i apologize, im coming home right now ... imma do better for now on.

y/n - i accept your apology, drive safe home ... i love you jojo.

jojo - i love you baby, i'll be home.

after that, he gets home after about 47 minutes. he comes in the house & comes into the living room, he walks through the doorway & your eyes begin to water. you go up to him & he takes you in his arms, you guys hug tight. he then kisses you & says this.

jojo - i'll never hurt you again y/n —— imma slow down & fix what's broken between us. i love you baby.

y/n - i love you more, jojo.

you & jojo kiss again, jojo then holds you in his arms for a few more seconds. he wanted to get all the time he missed out on back, he never knew how you felt about him partying all the time & now he wants to do right by you.

moral of the story: stop drinking, it's hurting you & possibly your loved ones.
