Spaceship Error

"Felix.. Are you awake?" Echo softly asked as he snapped his eyes open from the awful sound of beeping noises. "Hmmm... What's that sound?" he mumbled in a slow, sleepy voice. "I don't know, please check it out!" Felix got up to see what's the cause of these beeps. He walked through the spaceship, searching for the source of the noise. It seemed like it was coming from every single angle of the ship. He felt like his ears were being ripped apart, almost going deaf. Suddenly the whole spaceship started vibrating and Echo screamed. 

Felix rushed to see what had happened and he found her lying on the floor. "Echo!" He offered a hand to get her up, but she decided to stay down. "Umm... I'm alright, just go check the control panel, I'll stay here with Aeryn." Felix nodded and headed to the control panel, checking every button. Every setting was correct. He checked, double-checked and triple-checked. He couldn't find the problem. "I am either half asleep, hallucinating or there is actually nothing wrong with the controls," he thought.

The beeping stopped, as well as the vibration. Felix got back to Echo, both with a confused look on their face. "Did you fix it?" Echo asked, still lying down next to Aeryn. Felix hesitated, his expression changing from confusion to horror and disbelief as he stared at the control panel. "I... I don't know," he exclaimed, "Something seems terribly wrong, but there's nothing wrong with any of the settings. It's as if the ship is being controlled by something other than me." Echo looked at him, a mixture of fear and anticipation on her face. 

"What do you think is happening, Felix?" he looked down, analyzing what happened. "I have no idea... Hey, why don't we ask Aeryn? I mean, it's an AI bot... Pretty sure she can find out what's wrong, right?" Echo's eyes lightened up filled with hope. "Aeryn, can you find the error?" Aeryn immediately started working on analyzing the ship, scanning for the source of the mysterious beeping and vibrating. 

She quickly found the problem and alerted Felix and Echo of her discovery. "I have found the issue. It seems like the ship is being controlled by a foreign source that is not being detected by the internal systems. Our controls are being tampered with from the outside somehow." Felix looked at Echo, a bit relieved to know they weren't going crazy. Felix checked what was going on outside. "You're right, Aeryn. Someone outside the ship is controlling it, and they don't seem to be friendly."

Echo stared in pure confusion and terror. "What do you mean Felix?" she followed him to see what was going on outside. Before she could say a word, a loud bang was heard, getting the whole spaceship to shake. Everything stopped. Felix and Echo stared in disbelief.
