Chapter 23 - I'm the brightest witch of our age for a reason

Hermione's POV:

Draco Malfoy, Pyschopath, Ferret, Stupid, Idiot. All of these words are the same thing. Draco, thinks that he outsmarted me by 'kidnapping' me, but this is all a plan. 

A much larger plan made by Harry and me to get him sent to Azkaban. I needed to act innocent, like I didn't know anything, but I am way ahead of that. 

I'm called the brightest witch of our age for a reason. The only person Draco will be marrying is a random girl in Azkaban. Draco came down to the dungeons again, as I acted like I was crying. "Oh, Hermione. Don't cry" said Draco, as he sat next to me. He hugged me as I hugged him back.

 "Now" I said, loudly as Harry appeared in the room. "Stupefy!" said Harry, as Draco flew back. Harry handed me my wand as Ron, Luna and Ginny showed up as well. 

"Stupid Potter!" said Draco, as he reached into his pocket, trying to find his wand. I dangled it in front of him. "Looking for this?" I teased, as he glared at me angrily. "Give it back!" said Draco. "I'm sorry, Draco Darling" I said, with sarcasm dropping in my voice. 

"Petrificus Totalus" said Luna, as Draco froze and fell down to the floor. Just then, the Aurors from the Ministry arrived. 

"Hiding here, Malfoy?" asked the Auror, as he handcuffed him. "Potter, I will make you pay! Hermione, when I find you, you'll wish dearly you didn't do this!" yelled Draco, as I flipped him off. 

I really, wasn't this rude, but to Malfoy, the epitome of evil, the boy who bullied me, he deserved it. We apparated out of the dungeons as I saw that Lucius Malfoy was arrested too. Narcissa didn't really do anything, and did save Harry's life, so was left. 

I apparated back to the Weasleys and saw Kingsley Shacklebolt, the Minister of Magic, in their living room. "Hermione Delacour" said Minister Shacklebolt. "Hello Minister" I greeted. 

"You are a very, very bright student. Many parents of your tuition center have described you as a intelligent, inspiring teacher who has helped their kids. On the behalf of the Ministry of Magic, I would like to ask you, if you would like to accept the role of the Head of the Education Department" said the Minister. 

I could not believe this. I thought I would just work for the Department of Education as an officer, but Head? 

That was huge news.

I wasn't going to pass on a great opportunity because of my nerves. I looked at Ginny, excitedly nodding and Harry giving me a reassuring smile. 

"I would love to" I said. "Great! I'll let the Ministry know. Can you come over on Saturday, 7 PM for your official welcome?" asked Minister Shacklebolt. "Yes, thank you!" I said. "Great! I'll see you then Ms. Delacour" said Minister Shacklebolt, as he apparated away. 

I could not believe this. Ron, Ginny and Harry hugged me after he left. "I'm so happy for you! Congrats!" said Ginny. "You really deserved this" said Harry. 

"I'm going to go tell my parents" I said, as I headed towards the front door. Harry gripped my hand. "Also, y'know, tell them that you pretended to be kidnapped. They'll be pleased" said Harry, smiling. "Oh, shut up!" I said, giving him a kiss on the cheek. 

I apparated home. Maman looked up from the living room. "Hermione, ma fille!" said Maman, hugging me tight. "Where were you, papillon?" asked Papa. "It's a long story, I'm so sorry for not letting you know" I said. "It's fine, belle. All that matters is you're here right now" said Maman. 

"I also got offered the role of Head of the Education Department" I said. "What!?" asked Maman, with tears in her eyes. "We are so proud of you, Hermione" said Papa. 

I saw Fleur run down the stairs and hug me. "Soeur!" said Fluer, as she hugged me tight. "What happened? Where were you? You had us worried sick!" scolded Fluer. "I'm sorry, I'll tell you everything!" I said, as my family embraced me. 

I remembered, months ago, I was worried that I would die, my family would die in the war. Now, they were with me. My biological family and the family I grew up with like Harry, Ron, my friends, the Weasleys. No matter what, I loved them all. 

(A/N: This was a really big turn of events. I remember wanting this part to go really slow, and take a couple of chapters. I know you guys are really excited for the Harmione parts, which are coming very, very soon. Also, I think Harry's heart rate was like 2 million when Hermione kissed his cheek lmao.
