Story of River zones.

New comer,

As river reached at the dock, a lot of boats were there. All types of elements were there too, well expect fire of course. They slowly walked in looking around full of amazed, but a mix of anxiety. They walked into the building for documentation. A earth element was at the desk, stamping the documents. "How may I help you? " They questioned. "I-I'm here b-because of a s-scholarship..." they gulped, their anxiety thru the roof. "Ok! Whats your name?" The person said. "R-river, River z-zones." they replied still suttering. "Alright!" The earth element stamped the piece of paper, "Welcome to Element city!" The person handed river the piece of paper. They took the paper nodding. "T-hank you.. " they spoke before heading to the building, their new beginning at their college. They seemed amazed at the city, though they did get alot of...nasty looks especially from water elements. They just put their hood and headphones and continued walking down to the college. A friendly water element came by looking at the hooded fire element, she examined the fire element before interacting to them. "Hiya!", River turned to the water element, "H-Hallo?" They mispronounced hello on accident, Being more new to the language.

"Hello, and Are you new here?" she corrected them, then asked. "Y-Yes, i'm new here." Their fire died down, as their nervousness grew. "That's great! I'll show you some places I knew!!" She smilled then making a motion with her hand for river to follow her. River was really hesitant to follow her, but They didn't really have a choice.
TIME SKIP TO AFTER EXPLORING
"And this is your room! Well, Our room-" She spoke raising her arms up smilling. "You can put your bag there" she pointed to it next to the empty clean bed. River had barely any idea what the water element was saying, They seemed a bit frustrated. Well not frustrated just...overwhelmed. "Err,, hello??" She waved her hand in front of the fire element's face. "You seem overwhelmed-". River looked up at the water element, "I-Its just t-that i don't s-speak the best e-english.." they scratched their neck nervously. "Ohhhh.. I understand, maybe I can help?" she smilled softly. "W-What is yyour name?" They seemed curious at this point and less overwhelmed. "I'm Patzi! Patzi Nerio!!" She exclaimed. "N-Nerio? T-That's a unique water p-person's nname!" They seemed surpised at patzi's name. "Thank you very much!! What's yours?" She asked. "My N-Name is River. River z-zones!" They smiled softly. "I LOVE IT! !! " She squeeled. "T-Thanks! Your n-name is cute too!" They turned towards the bed, clearly not being made for a fire element. "Sorry if the bed is not like fire thing-" she shrugged before heading to her bed. "It j-just needs some shaping." Luckily they thought of this happening so they changed the bed into a fire element bed. And they started to unpack their bags. "Do you draw?" She asked taking out her notebook and her pen sitting onto her bed. They turned to patzi. "Well not really, i mean I can't touch paper.". "Right fire. Any other things?? " She asked. "I like to design glass things, i suppose." They admitted. "Can I see? Well if you don't mind-" she perked up. They grabbed a glass bird statue from their bag. And gave it to patzi. "Just a hobby though." They went back to unpacking. "It's so cute!! " she looked at it examine it. Their fire grew alittle, like they were blushing due to the compliment. "Thanks..." they smiled. "Have you taste toothpaste before??" She questioned. "...what? No." They looked confused, and glared at patzi. "Oh well okay, it's like something where you brush your teeth with and every time you bite it there's something crunchy in it called Mint!!!" She got up explaining walking around the room. River looked at Patzi, knowing that their gonna regret accepting this scholarship, especially with having to live with a water element. "But I can't swallow it because it may cause choking hazard and currently burning your throat." She continued to explain. "So I chew onto it!" She smilled standing in the middle of the room. "..." River seemed really concerned, also confused. They sighed annoyingly, and put their hood on, with their headphones and started to listen to music. grabbing some sand to start making a glass statue. she began taking out her stuff then sat onto her bed staring at river kicking her legs.

River noticed her staring, but ignored her. But still felt a bit creeped out. she picked up her notebook and wrote on it. "Are you ok?" And showed it to them. They looked up at the notebook, they looked like they were thinking and nodded. She gave them a thumbs up smiling. They sighed, they did seem really upset and overwhelmed over alot of stuff. Especially stuff before they got here. She continued to kick her feet like a child looking at the window. They gulped and took off their hood, "So...whats your issue?" They asked abruptly. "Oh uh- eree---" she left them hanging. River looked at patzi. "Why are you so nice go me? You know i'm a fire element right?" They asked her. "Yeah!! I'm always nice, I mean, why be rude when you can be good? " she spoke opening her book. "Wish i could say the same about fire land, i used to be well bullied." They chuckled "Dang, that's rude." She blabbered.They laughed, "Agreed!" You could tell their anxiety was gone, they seemed less nervous and overwhelmed. "Who does that? Only a jerk does! " she crossed her arms scoffing. River sighed, "how did you do that??" They asked. "Did what?" She tilted her head. "Like, change my entire mood from overwhelmed to calm" they chuckled. "I don't know," she shrugged. They sighed, they seemed tired. And stressed, "So, are you from around here?". "Yup!!" she smiled. "Thats nice, i wish i was around from here, atleast I wouldn't be called a cry baby." They smiled softly. "Dang." She responded. "Are you a dude or a girl? No Offense I can't tell-". "I'm nonbinary." They answered. She gasped in excitement "coolerz?!?! ". They chuckled a bit. "So how about your family are they nice?". "They are sweet!!" She smiled. "Although I'm the only child,". "I have a little sister, well used to have." They admitted. "What happened?"she asked. They took a breath. "I got disowned" "Woah-" She spoke her jaw opened a lil. "I'm ok though, It just something that happens." They brushed it off. "Yeah-" she shrugged. It was silent for a bit until patzi broke it. "I'm hungry" she said all the sudden. "Ngl, me too. But there's probably no fire element shops around." They sighed. "Wanna go get some snacks? They're might have something related to yours!!" She got off her bed standing up. "Sure!" They got up off their bed and grabbed their bag.

TIME SKIP TO THEM HEADING DOWN TO FIRETOWN
Both elements had gotten of the train, River ran up to the edge and saw all the fire elements. Their anxiety started to rise. "Woah, woah don't worry!" She raised up her arm covering the fire element's head. A bunch of fire elements gave Patzi dirty looks. River looked at Patzi and seemed noticeably different to then the dorm. She ignored the looks, then smilled to river. "There," she responsed. River smiled alittle but their anxiety was getting to them badly. They were really unsure where to go to get snacks. "There's a small shop over there! Maybe they sell your kinds of food?" She replied her arm still on their head. They nodded, and they instinctively clinged onto patzi's arm. They hadn't realise they started to burn Patzi. "Ouch!-" she flinched but continued to covered them with her other arm. "Sorry.." they mumbled.They started to walk to "The fireplace". Dragging patzi with them. "Wew!!" She exclaimed. They visibly got more anxious the closer to the shop, and the stares from the other fire elements were getting to River. Their flame turned into a purplish flame. "Go on, you can get your snacks i'll pay!!" She smilled cheering. They nodded and they went thru the door. "Welcome!" The 3 fire elements welcomed them and Patzi. Though, The one at the register gave patzi an dirty look. "Hi!!" She welcomed back raising her arm down. "Dang how long have I have been raising my arm for??" She mumbled to herself. They were really quiet, unlike back at the apartment. They just got the snacks they wanted. "Got your funky snacks?" She asked river smilling. They nodded, their alittle nervous right but patzi seems to help them not burst out. She took out her purse and payed for the food still smilling. They had held on patzi's arm again. After they paid patzi and river had left.
